Daocheng Yading's Three Sacred Mountains consist of the snow-capped peaks of Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xianuoduoji, representing Avalokitesvara, Manjushri, and Vajrapani, respectively. The three peaks, capped year-round with snow, echo each other from afar, reaching up to the sky. Historical records indicate that Daocheng's sacred peaks are ranked 11th among the world's 24 sacred Buddhist sites. Today, many Tibetans enjoy circumambulating the mountains and making pilgrimages.
For those who are keen on snow mountain tourism, not visiting Daocheng would be a lifelong regret, because Daocheng's sacred peaks, namely the three snow mountains of Yading (Xiannairi, Xianuoduoji and Yangmaiyong), are extraordinary, mysterious and spiritual, which is breathtaking.

The weather was perfect, and the sacred mountain finally emerged. Its majestic silhouette, reflected in the sea of pearls, was a visual shock beyond words.
Three sacred mountains - Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xianuoduoji
The northern peak, Xiannairi, means "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva" (6032 meters), the southern peak, Yangmaiyong, means "Manjushri Bodhisattva" (5958 meters), and the eastern peak, Xianuoduoji, means "Vajrapani Bodhisattva" (5958 meters). It is said that if Tibetans can worship the sacred mountain three times, their wishes in this life will come true.
In Tibetan areas, many believers will come here from afar to pray devoutly in front of the sacred mountains and holy lakes, just for the faith in their hearts!
You must see the Three Sacred Mountains, also known as Nyainqen Gonggar Risong Gongbu (which means "three sacred mountains with perpetual snow-capped mountains" in Tibetan). It covers an area of more than 1,000 square kilometers, and the main part is three completely separated but not far apart snow-capped peaks arranged in the shape of a "品" (Chinese character for "品").
Stars twinkle, and from the tranquil peaks of a sacred mountain, one gazes out upon the majestic peaks dotted with snow-capped peaks. Living on the plains, one only understands the power of weathering, but on the plateau, one witnesses the immense force of glacial erosion. The long-term erosion of glaciers and the repeated freeze-thaw cycles have shaped the snow-capped peaks into sharp corners and the ridges into knife-edges, creating a secluded and mysterious landscape that inspires awe.
Only with the help of modern technology—cars and cameras—can we reach this place and capture the light and shadows of the dazzling starry sky. But what I seek is precisely a place without civilization, a sky that has existed for a thousand years, and stars that have existed for a thousand years. I hope civilization advances more slowly, leaving more pure lands for the world.
There are many mountains in Sichuan, but the Three Sacred Mountains in Daocheng are the ones I admire most.
"Wow", "Wow", "Oh my God", "Oh my God", "My God" these words all popped out involuntarily. Just when we went up, the sun came out, and the sunlight sprinkled on the snow-capped mountains was really charming. Those prayer flags, that piece of water, there are no words to describe when you are tired and want to complain, everything you see with your eyes, this is why you want to come out, you have to see the nature, then you will know that everything you do has a reason.
There are a lot of clouds and mist on the Three Gods Mountains. Although its true appearance cannot be fully seen, the vast and magnificent scenery combined with the Luolong Cow Farm is really refreshing and never boring.
Daocheng's three sacred mountains are Xiannairi in the north, Yangmaiyong in the south, and Xiannuoduoji in the east. These three snow-capped peaks, pure white and precipitous, resemble sharp swords piercing the sky. Xiannairi resembles a great Buddha, proudly sitting on a lotus throne; Yangmaiyong resembles a young woman, serene and dignified, pure and innocent; and Xiannuoduoji resembles a young man, vigorous and resolute, full of vigor and energy. These three snow-capped mountains are known as the Three Protectors Snow Mountains.
Sanshen Mountain
The three sacred mountains in Daocheng are Xiannairi [Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva], Yangmaiyong [Manjushri Bodhisattva], and Xianuoduoji [Vajrapani Bodhisattva]. They are very influential in the entire Tibetan area. Many devout believers come here from afar just to face the sacred mountains and feel pious in their hearts. It can be said to be the most authentic pilgrimage.
Altitude: North Peak, Xiannairi, 6032 meters; South Peak, Yangmaiyong, 5958 meters; East Peak, Xianuoduoji, 5958 meters.
The three sacred mountains show the beauty of the snow-capped mountains, and you can never see enough of them!
Natural, with little artificial modification, you can even see lambs on the road
Daocheng Yading's Three Sacred Mountains consist of the snow-capped peaks of Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xianuoduoji, representing Avalokitesvara, Manjushri, and Vajrapani, respectively. Daocheng Yading boasts three snow-capped mountains: Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xianuoduoji, considered the guardian mountains of the Yading Tibetan people. The peaks are set against a backdrop of vibrant forests, reflected in the valley's lakes. Such beauty can be found everywhere in Daocheng Yading. This is the legendary Shangri-La, a wonderland reminiscent of stepping into a painting.
The three snow-capped mountains within the reserve—Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xianuoduoji—are arranged in a herringbone pattern from north to south. They are collectively known as "Nyainqen Gongga Risong Gongbu," meaning "three sacred mountains where the snow never melts year-round." In Tibetan Buddhism, they are known as the "Three Protectors Snow Mountains," and are sacred to the Tibetan people.
Yading is a paradise under the protection of the three sacred mountains, a place with beautiful scenery. The best place to view the three sacred mountains is Luolong Ranch. Surrounded by three mountains, it is absolutely beautiful when the weather is good!
Shocking, holy, facing three sacred mountains at the same time, very spectacular
You can see the snow line on the mountain from a distance. It might snow a little. I'm even luckier because it hailstones. Haha.
Yading's three sacred mountains: Xiannairi, Xialuoduoji, and Yangmaiyong. These three permanent snow-capped mountains, standing at 6,032 meters, 5,958 meters, and 5,958 meters respectively, represent the Bodhisattvas Avalokitesvara, Vajrapani, and Manjushri. These three Bodhisattvas are collectively known as the Three Protectors (Hu, pronounced the same as "Hu"), which generally means protectors or guardians of the Dharma. They are highly respected Bodhisattvas in Tibetan Buddhism. Yangmaiyong, the most prominent of these, is located at the southern peak of the Three Protectors Snow Mountain, resembling a pure and innocent young woman. Nurong Cow Farm is the ideal location for photographing Yangmaiyong. Xiannairi, the second-highest peak in Sichuan, is located at the northern peak of the Three Protectors Snow Mountain. Its majestic beauty resembles a benevolent Buddha. Xialuoduoji, the third-highest peak in Tibetan Buddhism, is located at the eastern peak of the Three Protectors Snow Mountain. Its pyramid-like shape and vibrant expression resemble a resolute young man.
It is said that anyone who makes three pilgrimages to the sacred mountain will have their wishes fulfilled. (I guess I can only fulfill my wishes on my own.)
The main purpose of going to Yading is to see these three sacred mountains: Xiannairi (Avalokitesvara), Yangmaiyong (Manjusri), and Xianuoduoji (Vajrapani).
The Three Sacred Mountains can be seen when you reach the Milk Sea and the Five-Colored Sea. In fact, you can see them halfway up the mountain, but the closer you get, the more majestic they become. The scenery is best when you reach the Five-Colored Sea, and it feels closest.
The natural scenery is really amazing. We went in the summer, so the color changes were not that great. Autumn is said to be the most beautiful, but I was still shocked. However, the plateau is difficult to climb. It is quite steep, there are no guardrails, and the road is muddy and difficult to walk on, which is a bit dangerous.
Daocheng's Three Sacred Mountains, pronounced "Gongga Risong Gongbu" in Tibetan (meaning "three sacred mountains where snow never melts year-round"), cover an area of over 1,000 square kilometers. The main part of the mountains consists of three completely separate, yet not far apart, snow-capped peaks arranged in a "品" shape. We didn't get to see Yangmaiyong.
The Yading Scenic Area is famous for its three sacred mountains. Walking around the area, I admired the three mountains from different angles. Yading is at a high altitude, so walking there can be tiring. However, my oxygen consumption was low, indicating no difference from normal walking.
It is very beautiful, and is worthy of being called the Three Lords of Buddhism, which are three Buddha statues.
When you pass Chonggu Temple and arrive at Luolong Cow Farm, you can see the Three Sacred Mountains.
Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, Xianuoduoji.
You can view it from a distance. You can also see a sacred mountain up close when climbing Milk Lake.
Remember to bring rain gear, as it is prone to rain and hail in June and July.
I've seen the 2016 film "Foxes of Nine-Tailed Foxes" and it seems the filming location for the fox tribe was at Luolong Ranch. It's beautiful.
Things to note: Bring hot water, high-calorie foods, chocolate and Red Bull.
Don’t catch a cold. If you have a cold, don’t go up the mountain. It will cause pulmonary edema and be life-threatening.
Please note that 300 is very expensive for horse riding.
The sacred mountain is very beautiful, it's a pity that I didn't come here in autumn, otherwise it would be more beautiful
A beautiful stop on our cycling trip. We weren't supposed to go through Aden, but we were captivated by its legendary beauty. Aden, the last pristine land on Earth. To this day, I still recall the awe and purity it brought me. I've since attempted to plan a few loops, and while none of them panned out, I've always made it a must-see on my journeys. I hope its beauty endures.
I think everyone who comes here to see Sansheng Mountain will be filled with emotion. The devout heart, the difficult journey, the crowded kang, the inedible "delicacies", and the mysterious beauty of the scenery are all worth it.
The Three Sacred Mountains of Daocheng are pronounced "Gongga Risong Gongbu" in Tibetan (meaning "three sacred mountains where snow never melts all year round" in Tibetan). The entire mountain covers an area of more than 1,000 square kilometers, and the main part is three snow-capped peaks that are completely separated but not far apart and arranged in the shape of a "品" (Chinese character for "品").
Daocheng's Three Sacred Mountains: the northern peak, Xiannairi, stands at 6,032 meters; the southern peak, Yangmaiyong, stands at 5,958 meters; and the eastern peak, Xianuoduoji, stands at 5,958 meters. These three snow-capped peaks, pristine white and towering, resemble sharp swords piercing the sky. Xiannairi resembles a giant Buddha, proudly perched on a lotus throne; Yangmaiyong resembles a young woman, serene and dignified, pure and innocent; and Xianuoduoji resembles a young man, vigorous and resolute, full of vigor and energy. Surrounding the snow-capped peaks are over 30 peaks, large and small, each offering a diverse array of spectacular views.
It's soul-stirring and magnificent. Although the journey is long and there are some altitude sickness, when you actually arrive here, nothing else matters...
Yading's three sacred mountains—Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xianuoduoji—are sacred to Tibetans and are the main attraction of the Yading Scenic Area. These three mountains are located close to each other and are capped with snow year-round. As you take the shuttle bus from the Yading Scenic Area Visitor Center to the scenic area, you'll soon see a sharp, conical snow-capped mountain in the distance. Some on the bus excitedly start taking photos, some claiming it's Xiannairi, but it's actually Xianuoduoji. A little further up, you'll see another snow-capped mountain, the Xiannairi, with a somewhat jagged shape. The closer you get to the destination, the clearer you'll see Xiannairi. There's a roadside viewpoint on the hilltop near Yading Village, offering one of the best views of Xiannairi. Unfortunately, the shuttle bus doesn't stop there. After getting off the bus at the destination, walk to Chonggu Temple, where you'll face Xiannairi. The climb from Chonggu Temple to the foot of Xiannairi takes over two hours, and it's quite tiring. The easiest way to see Xianuoduoji is from Chonggu Temple, where you can take photos of the golden mountain in the evening. From Chonggu Temple, take an electric car to Luorong Ranch for the best vantage point to see Yangmaiyong. Yangmaiyong is the most beautiful, majestic, and towering of the three sacred mountains, and also the farthest snow-capped mountain in the inner scenic area.
Climb the mountain with awe in mind and strive hard, and when the clouds clear you will see the mountain. What scenery could be more desirable than this?
The snow-capped mountains of Yading are truly breathtaking. The Tibetan names of Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Xianuoduoji represent the savior deities Guanyin, Manjushri, and Vajrapani, respectively, revered by the Tibetan people as saviors of suffering. Every visitor to this place is captivated by these three sacred mountains. Standing majestically beneath the blue sky, they silently protect the Tibetans at their foot.
There are many birds on and around Sanshen Mountain. If you like them, you can bring your cameras and listen to the shutter sounds. It’s so cool.
When the three sacred mountains stood before my eyes, I could only feel awe. I heard that one was of Han nationality, one was of Tibetan nationality, and one was a Bodhisattva of another nationality.
The three sacred mountains in Daocheng Yading are sacred mountains in the hearts of local Tibetans.
The grandeur of the mountains and the beautiful scenery on the mountains are all shocking, which is why I want to go to Daocheng again. Although the car ride there was all on mountain roads, dusty and steep, I still want to come again.
The three sacred mountains of Aden are so tempting. Whether it is the Tibetan legends or the close-up snow-capped mountains, they are definitely worthy of this expectation.
As expected, I still have to come in autumn. Summer lacks a lot of characteristics. In addition, the rain in summer is often slippery, and cloudy days will affect the scenery, and you may not even be able to see the mountains.
The blessing Mani piles in front of the sacred mountain make people feel awe and pray silently.
The final landmark of Shangri-La is a must-see. However, many people miss the Milk Lake due to the high altitude of over 4,000 meters. To conquer the Three Sacred Mountains, you must persevere according to your stamina. It's best to take an electric car to the Nuolong Cow Farm and then choose a horseback ride up the mountain, depending on your stamina. The hike takes about four hours round trip. If you feel exhausted, keep going until you're about halfway up. You have to hike from 4,200 meters to 4,700 meters to see the Milk Lake. The Five-Colored Lake is just over a mountain to the right of where you can see the Milk Lake, but before you reach it. Horseback riding is strictly prohibited there.
Very beautiful, very shocking, the scenery is beautiful when I go there in October
Those who can see the entire Three Sacred Mountains are lucky, because most of the time they are hidden in the clouds.
When you go to Daocheng, you must see the majestic three sacred mountains and feel the wonders of nature.
The three sacred mountains are arranged in sequence. You can only see the second one after entering the first one, and you can only see the third one after entering the second one!
Shocking, really beautiful ~, worth going again and again
It is a majestic, sacred and soul-stirring beauty!
The three sacred mountains of Daocheng - Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xianuoduoji - guard this beautiful land and kind-hearted beings in a sacred and majestic manner.
You can rent a horse from the main gate to Chonggu Temple. It's a bit far to see the sacred mountain, Yangmaiyong, but since Luorong Ranch no longer allows overnight stays, it's a good option for photography. There are eco-friendly buses from Chonggu Temple to Luorong Ranch, with the last bus returning at 6:00 PM. After that, you'll have to walk back to Chonggu Temple. The two places are 7.8 kilometers apart. Luorong Ranch is 4,150 meters above sea level, which is a real challenge for both your willpower and your spirit.
Due to the high altitude of the Three Sacred Mountains, their snow-capped peaks are often shrouded in mist, making them incredibly rare to see. Legend has it that only those with pure and devout hearts can truly see the true beauty of the snow-capped mountains. So rare, the tourists on the scenic area bus rolled down their windows, their cameras poised for angles despite the biting cold wind. Seeing this, the bus made an exception and stopped at a newly renovated platform to allow everyone five minutes of free photography.
It is really not easy to come to this place because of the inconvenient transportation and the long detour. However, I heard in 2014 that the foundation of Luya Road (Lugu Lake to Yading) has been completed and is open to traffic. This can save a lot of distance and provide more options for tourist routes. But if you really want to take this road, you should ask more about it before going.
The three mountains, Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Qialang Doji, are located on the border between Garze and Liangshan prefectures in Sichuan Province. Qialang Doji belongs to Liangshan Prefecture and is the highest peak in the prefecture. Qialang Doji is also known as Xialang Doji in many places and Qialang Duji on Baidu Maps. These are transliterations, so the pronunciations are similar. Many people find it difficult to distinguish the three peaks, so here's a map showing their locations for easy identification. It's worth noting that Xiannairi is not visible from Luolong Ranch.
The road from Daocheng to Yading is nearly 80 kilometers, paved with asphalt, with gas stations along the way. The nearest township outside the Yading Scenic Area is Riwa Township (or Shangri-La Town? I'm not sure the exact name), which offers good accommodation, dining, and other tourist facilities. Services are also available in Yading Village within the scenic area, including simple Tibetan-style dining and accommodation.
At the entrance to the mountain, there's a scenic open-top bus that takes you to Chonggu Temple, a little over a kilometer away. If you walk there, you can take a sightseeing bus to Luolong Ranch. The round-trip walk from Luolong Ranch to Milk Lake takes about 4-5 hours, but it might take longer, depending on your schedule. Horseback riding is also an option, and takes about the same amount of time. If you're entering the mountain in the morning and leaving in the afternoon, and you also want to visit Milk Lake, you'll need to be quick.
The altitude is high and the temperature is low, so please keep warm and avoid strenuous exercise. Take preventive measures against altitude sickness in advance.
The photos were taken during two visits to Yading. The first was in March, when there was still a thick layer of snow. We were the only three people in the entire scenic area, and they surprisingly sent us to Luolong Ranch in an electric car. They even had a steel chisel and a shovel to break the ice along the way. After we had our fill, they took us back to Chonggu Temple. Kudos to the service! There were no caravans at Luolong Ranch in March, and the grass was dry and brown. The second visit was in October, and the autumn colors were beautiful. There were more tourists, and I met many photographers.
After walking for three hours, I felt that we were just a little bit closer to the sacred mountain. It didn't feel right... Oh, by the way, the ultraviolet rays here are very strong and the air is dry. Friends who plan to visit are advised to bring sun-proof sunglasses, masks, hats, veils, etc. Anyway, just wrap yourself up tightly.
I only saw the sacred Mount Gongga from a distance, but I will definitely go circumambulate the mountain if I have the chance.
It looks majestic and majestic, like the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara sitting on a lotus platform, holding a huge pagoda in her arms. Her entire body is covered with snow, and the peak is covered with snow all year round. When the sun shines on the top of the mountain, it will emit a golden Buddha light.
When I look up at the Three Sacred Mountains, silence is the best gift! The world is beautiful, and silence brings joy.
Butterfly Love Flower Daocheng Yading
Many people say that Gusu is a fairyland.
Tiger Hill Tang,
The scenery is so beautiful.
The Humble Administrator's Canglang Pavilion in Lingering Garden,
The landscaping of the Lion Grove Garden is a masterpiece of nature.
I said the fairyland is in Daocheng,
Colorful autumn colors,
Colorful snow-capped peaks.
The forests are dyed with autumn colors.
Even Van Gogh had difficulty painting Aden.
The Three Sacred Mountains are the core scenic area of Yading, and it is definitely a place worth visiting. I have also been to Tibet and seen more snow-capped mountains, but I think this is still very different.
Needless to say, I came to Aden just for this, and it was absolutely worth the trip!!!
I could only see the top of a mountain at Xiannuoduoji, but the clouds and fog had cleared up at Xiannairi and Yangmaiyong. I didn't even need to think about framing when taking photos because they were so beautiful.
Daocheng's Three Sacred Mountains boasts a northern peak, Xiannairi, at 6,032 meters; a southern peak, Yangmaiyong, at 5,958 meters; and an eastern peak, Xianuoduoji, at 5,958 meters. Named after the Three Protectors of Buddhism: Guanyin (Xiannairi), Manjushri (Yangmaiyong), and Vajrapani (Xianuoduoji), they are known as the Three Protectors Snow Mountain. Xiannairi, meaning "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva," stands at 6,032 meters. Yangmaiyong, meaning "Manjushri Bodhisattva" in Tibetan, is the southern peak of the Three Protectors Snow Mountain and has an elevation of 5,958 meters. Xianuoduoji, meaning "Vajrapani Bodhisattva," is the eastern peak of the Three Protectors Snow Mountain and has an elevation of 5,958 meters.
The Three Sacred Mountains of Daocheng are Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xialuoduoji, which are arranged in a triangular shape. The scenery of Chonggu Temple and Luolong Cattle Farm are very beautiful, but if you want to go to Luolong Cattle Farm to see the golden mountain in the sun, you must set out early. We hiked there before 3 o'clock in the morning to see it. Sometimes you may not be able to arrive in time by taking the earliest bus from the scenic area. We went there in October 2012. Now it is just for your reference.
The three sacred mountains of Daocheng are Xiannairi (Guanyin), Yangmaiyong (Manjusri) and Xialuoduoji (Vajrapani), which are arranged in a triangular shape. It is very impressive.
It looked magnificent from a distance, but I felt even more insignificant once I reached the foot of the mountain. Clouds gathered at the foot of the mountain, while the top of the mountain had already passed through the clouds.
The "Last Shangri-La" shrouds them in mystery. In the depths of autumn, I packed my bags and traversed National Highway 318 just to see its true beauty. The arduous journey, to finally reach this point, was worth it.
The magnificence of the Three Sacred Mountains lies not only in their majestic figures, but also in their unpredictable weather and diverse geographical features. The Milk Sea at the foot of the Xiannairi Mountain adds to its beauty.
People's love for the sacred mountain reflects more of their respect and worship for God. Xiannairi is Guanyin Bodhisattva, Yangmaiyong is Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and Xianuoduoji is Vajrapani Bodhisattva. People pray that the sacred mountain will bring peace and happiness.
The Three Sacred Mountains are shrouded in clouds and mist all year round. Legend has it that those who can see the entirety of the three sacred mountains will have endless blessings. If you are lucky, you can also see rare flag clouds forming on the peaks. Thanks to the blessings of the Bodhisattva, we are very lucky to see all of this. We are excited!
The full name of the Three Sacred Mountains of Yading is Nyainqen Gongga Risong Gongbu, meaning three sacred mountains that protect the Dharma year-round, covered in snow. The mountains are arranged in the shape of a Chinese character "品" (a character for "品"): Xiannairi in the north, Yangmaiyong in the south, and Xianuoduoji in the east. These three peaks, pristine white and steep, resemble sharp swords piercing the sky. Xiannairi resembles a great Buddha, proudly seated on a lotus throne; Yangmaiyong resembles a young woman, serene and dignified, pure and innocent; and Xianuoduoji resembles a young man, vigorous and resolute, full of vigor and energy.
Looking back at the sacred mountain, it seems to be within reach, and my mind becomes more open.
The view of the Xiannairi Mountain from a distance was very impressive. Everyone was crazy when they saw it for the first time in the car. From a visual point of view, it is indeed very sacred.
Snow-capped mountains, pines and cypresses, yellow leaves, and red bushes formed a beautiful picture. We had hoped to follow the path to the foot of the sacred Xiannairi Mountain, but after half an hour, it still felt like the distance was nowhere in sight. Later, we met fellow hikers coming from the foot of the mountain, who said it would take at least two hours to reach the destination. Finally, we realized what it means to be so close yet so far away.
It was around 4pm when we reached Pearl Sea. At that time, Shenshan Xiannairi was still covered in thick clouds, and the snow on the top of the mountain could not be seen, like a shy girl who refused to show her beautiful face. I waited patiently to catch a glimpse of her beauty. As expected, the clouds gradually dissipated, and the mountain became clearer and clearer, with even a hint of sunset. I was so amazed by the wonders of nature that I started taking photos from different angles and ended up forgetting the time.
The three sacred mountains of Yading - Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Xianuoduoji - are the guardian mountains of the Tibetans of Yading and are rated as one of the ten most beautiful mountains in China. The northern peak, Xiannairi, means "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva" (6032 meters), the southern peak, Yangmaiyong, means "Manjusri Bodhisattva" (5958 meters), and the eastern peak, Xianuoduoji, means "Vajrapani Bodhisattva" (5958 meters). It is said that if Tibetans can worship the sacred mountains three times, they will realize their wishes in this life. Legend has it that the central peak, Maiyong, is the most beautiful of the three sacred mountains. It is so beautiful that I have taken countless photos of it.
The photo of Yangmaiyong taken on horseback is not the best one, but it is the best at first sight. In comparison, I prefer the continuity and beauty of Meili.
The sacred mountain has revealed a little bit of its beauty. The one with a little peak on the left is Xiannuo Duoji, also known as Vajrapani Bodhisattva, and the one on the right is very majestic, also known as Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva.
The northern peak of the Three Protectors Snow Mountain - "Xiannairi" means "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva" (6032 meters).
Xiannairi Snow Mountain, the highest of the three highest peaks in the Yading Scenic Area and the fifth-highest in Sichuan, stands majestically, towering like a sword, piercing the sky. Its name means "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva." Surrounding it are glacial peaks, glaciers, glacial relics, and alpine lakes. The peak tilts 10 degrees north, facing the Big Dipper to the west. Both Buddhism and Taoism consider the Big Dipper an auspicious star. Furthermore, the entire mountain is shaped like a circular cirque, sloping downward, so when viewed from either side, the peak always faces us.
Beauty is not enough, many mysteries and wonders are even more desirable!
Yangmaiyong, meaning "Manjushri Bodhisattva" in Tibetan, is located at the border of Muli Tibetan Autonomous County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and Daocheng County, Ganzi Prefecture. It is the southern peak of the "Three Protectors" Snow Mountain (also known as the Three Sacred Mountains of Daocheng), reaching an altitude of 5,958 meters. In Buddhism, it is ranked as the highest of the "Three Protectors." Manjushri Bodhisattva is the embodiment of wisdom in Buddhism. The snow-capped peaks resemble Manjushri, pointing his finger toward the heavens. The crystal-clear Yangmaiyong towers proudly between heaven and earth.
The "Three Sacred Mountains" (also known as the Daocheng Three Sacred Mountains) are ranked eleventh among the twenty-four sacred Buddhist sites in the world. Making a pilgrimage to Gonggar Risong Gumpo at least once in one's lifetime is a cherished wish of every Tibetan.
