Yading Village (3900 meters above sea level): In fact, the biggest difference in many chartered trips to Daocheng Yading is where you stay in Daocheng Yading.

One is to go to Yading twice, that is, on the first day, you will walk the long route in Daocheng Yading and stay in Shangri-La Town after leaving the scenic area, and then go into the mountains for a short route on the second day. The advantage of this itinerary is that the accommodation is cheaper, the conditions are slightly better, the altitude is lower, and you can rest better. The disadvantage is that you have to take an extra round-trip bus from the gate of the scenic area to Zhaguanbeng. The fare is 60/person on the second day. The round trip takes about 3 hours including walking and taking the bus, and the one-way journey takes 1 hour.

The second option is to stay in Yading Village, that is, after the long route, return to Yading Village to rest, and then go directly from Yading Village to take the short route the next day. The advantage of this itinerary is that you can save the disgusting winding mountain road in and out of the scenic area. If the weather is good at night, you can see the Milky Way because there is no light pollution in Yading Village. The disadvantage is that the altitude is 1,000 meters higher than Shangri-La Town. In terms of accommodation conditions, I personally think it is not bad, after all, there is a shortage of supplies in the scenic area.

Yading Village is located on a mountain terrace. The appearance of such a terrace in the canyon makes people feel as if they are in another world. Surrounded by undulating desolate mountains, the outlines of the mountains are dark and bright against the blue sky. At the end of the valley, the towering Xiannairi Snow Peak is bathed in the sun without reservation, simple and steep, like a stick drawing drawn with just a few strokes. However, the height, width and texture of the mountain are dark and steep, majestic and serene, which cannot be described by words.

After two hours of carpooling, we arrived at Shangri-La Town, where the tourist center is also located. We bought tickets and the scenic area bus, queued up to get on the bus and officially enter the scenic area. It was another hour on the winding mountain road. The experienced driver of the bus drove very fast, and we finally arrived at Aden Village at 11 o'clock in the morning.



Aden Village is actually divided into several parts. The buses to the scenic area will stop there. The accommodation industry has become very developed over the years, so it doesn’t matter which village you choose, just go with the flow.

There are not many houses in Yading Village. If you want to be closer to the scenic area, you can live in Yading Village. Xiao Ma Ge said that he does not recommend living in the scenic area, because not only is the altitude a little higher, the accommodation conditions are not very good and it is expensive.

Well, what can I say about this place? The Aden scenic area is beautiful, but the disadvantages brought about by the commercialization of the scenic area are also reflected in this village. After the National Day, a room cost about fifteen hundred yuan a night, and I encountered some unpleasant things in the middle. In short, the experience was not good.

Passing by Yading Village in the scenic area, you can also stay here, but it is higher than Shangri-La Town, the conditions are worse, and the house price is also higher.

Since it is a village, I originally thought it was similar to the former Sosong Village and Garan Village in Tibet. In fact, Yading is basically a modern Tibetan hotel.

When it was dark, I looked out the window at the stars. There was some light pollution in Aden Village, but there was no moon to interfere with the night view.

In general, Daocheng Yading Scenic Area is worth visiting for three reasons:

First, it is cost-effective. The ticket is 150 yuan + the bus ticket is 120 yuan, which is 270 yuan in total. It is valid for three days. If you live outside the scenic area, you can get a half-price ticket to the scenic area the next day. If you live in the scenic area, you don’t need to buy a ticket. It is recommended that you stay in the scenic area if your physical condition allows, which can save time.

Second, the scenery is beautiful and there are many attractions. If you visit the Yading scenic area slowly, starting in the early morning and returning in the evening, it may take three full days to complete the tour. But most people cannot visit for three days, because after entering Zhaguanbeng, they can only bring their own dry food. In the high-altitude areas, whether it is blue sky and white clouds, alpine lakes, plank roads after rain, snow-capped mountains everywhere, snow water hitting the rocks and flowing down, short but neat pine trees, large yellowed lawns, and clear green rivers flowing in them, they are all very pure, and every shot is a beautiful scene.

Third, the facilities in the scenic area are complete. Whether you are waiting for the bus at the accommodation station or at Zhaguanbeng, you will definitely be able to wait for it within ten minutes. On the plank roads of Shangxian Nairi and Pearl Lake, there is a pavilion at intervals for tourists to rest and replenish their energy. There are many trash cans, and you can see a classified trash can every ten steps. You can also see staff wearing long skirts and headscarves everywhere, holding long pliers and sacks to pick up the scattered garbage thrown on the ground by tourists. There are so many tourists pouring into Aden every day, but Aden can still maintain its purity today, which is not without reason. There are also many toilets, even on the Milk Sea at an altitude of 4,600, there are simple toilets. Are you worried that so many emissions every day will pollute Aden? Don't worry, the toilet here does not use water to flush, and uses new environmental protection technology, only foam.

All in all, this is a very complete scenic spot that pursues sustainable development to the end. I hope everyone has the opportunity to experience it.

The short distance is only 2 kilometers, first walk 500 meters to Chonggu Temple, and then another 1.5 kilometers to Pearl Sea. However, the distance on the plateau cannot be calculated by Baidu time, plus the sourness of the 4,000-meter altitude, 2 hours is difficult. We saw several young people sitting at Chonggu Temple and refused to move, and then went down after a while, down, down, hahahaha.

We also rested for a while at Chonggu Temple, refilled our cups with chocolate and Red Bull, and then started the next more difficult 1.5km steep slope. Everyone stopped and walked along the way, and strangers could encourage each other. When people are in trouble, there will be fewer barriers and more empathy.

Finally, we arrived. There are snow-capped mountains and lakes, and there are wedding photos. It's not easy to imagine the outfit. It's really beautiful, but also really tiring.

I heard that it takes a long time to queue up to enter the scenic area. It turned out to be true! First, we lined up to buy tickets. The four of us lined up in two groups to save time. Two people lined up to buy tickets, and two people lined up to wait for the scenic area bus. In this way, we were not far from getting on the bus after buying the tickets. Of course, we still had to queue up for a long time before we could get on the bus. We took the short route in Aden. The short route is roughly like this: 20 minutes of hiking--Chonggu Temple--1.5km1h hiking to Pearl Sea--40 minutes of hiking to Chonggu Temple--15 minutes+ hiking--Zhaguanbeng in Aden Village. So the short route took about 3 hours. Luolong Cattle Farm seems to be the place where Yang Yang proposed to Bai Baihe in "Passing by Your World". Tourists are not allowed to enter.

You do not need to buy a new ticket to enter Aden for the second time, you only need to buy a 60-yuan sightseeing bus ticket.

My friend Nima Wengse was very enthusiastic and treated us very well. The Tibetan children were very shy at first and didn't dare to play with us. Later, they had a lot of fun and took photos with us and taught us to dance. This was my first time to get so close to Tibetans and their culture. After singing and dancing for a day, the joy overwhelmed the altitude sickness.

When you arrive at the foot of the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area, you need to queue up to take a bus to enter the Yading Village. The journey takes 2 hours. Yes, you heard it right, it is that far! The two-hour drive is completely a winding mountain road, but the drivers drive very steadily and will not make you feel uncomfortable at all...

There are four stops on the way to the village. Stop No. 1 is a viewing platform, and Stops 2 and 3 are two stops in the village. The distance between each stop is very close. Our homestay is at Stop No. 3. If you want to go directly into the mountains, you can take a bus to Stop No. 4 and get off at Chonggu Temple...

Because the luggage we brought was heavy, in order to reduce the load of climbing, we chose to put the luggage in the homestay first, and then take the bus to Chonggu Temple... The bus ticket can be taken at any station at any time, without any date restrictions, as long as you are still in Yading Village, you can take it...

Because the season we came was still relatively cold, the vegetation had not yet grown, everything was very pristine and there was no sense of pollution.

Yading Village is a really hard place to reach (except by plane). After two full-days of driving, you need to take a 50-minute sightseeing bus around the mountain road to reach the scenic area. A local uncle on the bus said that Yading means the sunny place, which refers to the place closest to the sun, so is it so sacred that it is difficult to reach? On the way, the Xiannairi Snow Mountain will suddenly appear in the field of vision, and exclamations will begin to rise and fall in the car. It is really amazing at first sight. The driver will stop at the viewing platform for five minutes to let you watch it carefully.

You need to take a sightseeing bus to enter Yading Village, which is a stop on the way. There are many hotels in Yading Village. It is recommended to stay in Yading Village and live directly in the scenic area. The air environment is very good, you can watch the sunrise and sunset, and you can also see the starry sky at night. You can see Xiannairi as soon as you go out. How wonderful, and it is not expensive. Anyway, the off-season in early June is about the same as the outside hotel charges.

Deng Chao's movie Passing By Your World was filmed here. I camped in the village to collect folk songs and watch the stars. My companions waited for Xiaoji with a dog on the roof of Yading Village. I enjoyed the beautiful scenery here, without any memories or longings.

Although the town is small, the conditions are very good. There are many shopping, restaurants, pharmacies, etc., and the prices are not expensive. The altitude is also the lowest in this area, which can ensure a good sleep at night. The town is only a 10-minute drive from the gate of the Yading Scenic Area. There are buses from the town to the scenic area for 5 yuan per person. It stops when you wave. It is a good accommodation choice for visiting Yading.

Located in the scenic area, it was originally a natural village on the mountain. Now it has been renovated into inns and hotels, and some rooms have direct views of the snow-capped mountains.

There are 4 drop-off points in Yading Village, mainly inns and Tibetan homestays. If you want to stay on the mountain, ask the store in advance which station to get off. Although the stations are very close, Yading Village is 3,700 meters above sea level, and it takes a long time to breathe even if you pull your luggage.

If you stay in Yading Village at night, you can also experience the simple family life of the Tibetans in Yading Village and their Tibetan culture.

There are people living in Caihua Village, which is perfect. It is easy to fog and more mysterious

Aden Village

When we introduce this place, we need to clarify one issue first. Daocheng is a county, and Yading is a village under Daocheng County. After knowing this, we can easily locate Yading Village; Yading Village is what we often call the Yading Scenic Area. This village is inside the scenic area. It is a beautiful village hidden in the secret realm of the "Last Shangri-La". I envy the people living here, who pray devoutly every day, believe in their faith all the way, and live an ordinary yet extraordinary life.

The original Tibetan architectural style has been preserved!

Drive from Shangri-La Town to the ticket office to buy a ticket to Yading Village, 120/ticket, the final stop is Zhaguanbeng. There is a parking lot at the ticket office, 20/day.

If you want to go to Luolong Ranch to grab a horse in the morning, you can only do that by staying in Aden Village.

The chicken stewed with matsutake mushrooms is especially delicious, and the scenery is also very simple and beautiful.

The accommodation environment in Aden Village is not very good. I dare not use the bathroom heater when taking a shower, otherwise the whole village may have a power outage. Food here is relatively expensive.

Aden Village remains the same as it was before. It has not been expanded blindly due to tourism development. It can only be renovated on the original basis. It remains the same after more than ten years, which is worthy of praise!

The conditions in Yading Village are really poor, but there are two advantages to living in the village. One is that it is close to the scenic spot, which can be reached in 10 minutes, and the other is that it is particularly suitable for taking pictures of the starry sky. There are frequent power outages in Yading Village at night, and it is very cold. Sometimes there is no signal. The altitude is also relatively high, close to 4,000 meters. People with poor health should not live in Yading Village, as it is easy to get altitude sickness.

Aden Village is in the scenic area. Many people choose to live in Aden Village. The impression I got was average. The accommodation and meals were not very good. I stayed in Riwa for 2 days. The accommodation was good, the altitude was low, and there were many foods. I would like to recommend Riwa here.

If possible, try to live outside the mountains. It is said that the water and power outages are common in Yading Village. When we went there, there was another power outage. It was a nightmare. It was too unbearable. Drinking water was a luxury.

Although there are residential houses everywhere, the simple village style is still preserved!

Aden in late October is the most colorful time of the year. In 2011, I rented a car with my classmates and friends (with a driver) from Chengdu via Siguniang Mountain, Danba, and Xinduqiao to Aden.

We stayed in a small village in the scenic area. Most of the houses were converted into small hotels. There were also a few small shops and a coffee bar, but we didn't go there, so we don't know how it tasted. The prices here are not cheap, because it's inside the scenic area, and everything is expensive. But on second thought, in this plateau scenic area with inconvenient transportation and no outside vehicles allowed to enter, these things (such as 7 yuan a bucket of instant noodles, 5 yuan a bottle of mineral water, etc.) are already super value. The meals are quite expensive, but the portions are also full, unlike inland areas where a plate of food is gone in a few chopsticks, so although it's expensive, it's still very real. Because we went there in early May, plants such as barley have not grown well, and the alpine rhododendrons on the mountain next to it have not fully opened, so the scenery is average, but when the scenery is good, the prices are not ordinary expensive, and there are super many people, so you may not be able to stay if you want to.

It may also be because I didn't rest well the night before. My stomach was uncomfortable and my head was a bit dizzy. I missed the sunset and the magnificent snow-capped mountains.

Aden Village is a must-go place to enter the scenic area. If you don't stay here for one night, you won't notice it at all. The village is very quiet. You can see the stars at night. If you can't sleep due to altitude sickness, you can get up early and wait for dawn. . Go to the local resident's house for breakfast. It's 20 yuan per person to eat as much as you can. There is an unlimited supply of highland barley, white rice porridge, eggs, etc. The old lady is very nice. The most important thing is that the decoration inside the house is very beautiful, which is completely different from the rough appearance. After breakfast, wait outside for the bus to enter the scenic area. It takes about 20 minutes and half an hour to reach the scenic area. Of course, you can also walk to the scenic area. It took us about three and a half hours to walk there. It is recommended to walk to the scenic area. The scenery on the road is good. You can walk along the river, but it is very physically demanding.

The altitude is high. In the scenic area, you don't need to buy a second ticket to enter the mountain, which is convenient for taking pictures of the starry sky, but the price is that you can't sleep well.

I think Aden is beautiful in every season. I wish you could visit Shambhala in a different way.
