Qingbang Island is known as the Potala Palace on the sea. You can see the stacked small houses when you look over from the boat.

The boat ticket was from Banshengdong Pier to Miaozihu Island. Qingbang is located between Miaozihu and Dongfushan Island. It took two hours to reach Miaozihu Island, where the boat docked. To get to Qingbang, you'd need to buy a new ticket, and it would arrive fifteen minutes later.

The feeling that Qingbang Island gives me is: primitive!

There are very few people on the island and there are many dilapidated little houses. Although the weather was not good, I was still super happy.

Because Aohama Island is truly beautiful, and my friends are all so awesome. "So beautiful!" was the phrase I said the most today!

By Vast Smoke |

Compared to the other two islands, Qingbang Island is relatively unremarkable, so few people visit it, and even fewer stay overnight. I'd like to highlight a fantastic photo spot we found there. Perhaps due to the lighting and other factors, my friend and I stayed there for at least an hour, snapping away. We didn't visit Hai'er Cave, which is quite far away. There's a beach near the stone houses, but my friend and I took the wrong road, so we ended up visiting it from the mountain for a while. We also circled Qingbang Island, but it was mainly because I took the wrong car. The first half was fine, with concrete paving, but the second half was practically devoid of good roads. We had to walk back along narrow, winding paths, which was incredibly challenging. I wouldn't recommend this Qingbang Island circumnavigation. Since I didn't stay overnight, I'm not sure about accommodations and meals, so I won't be sharing any information.

The sea water around Qingbang Island is indigo blue and very beautiful. The island is relatively simple and has few tourists. It is full of natural scenery.

My first impression of Qingbang Island was its comfort and tranquility, a world away from the hustle and bustle of the world—perfect for living. Qingbang is suitable for living, not for fun. Compared to Miaozihu Island and Dongfushan Island, Qingbang Island is the smallest and least developed, with few marine activities, and most seafood restaurants are just one or two small shops. Thanks to this, Qingbang is like a tranquil painting, isolated from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, possessing a unique beauty. Upon arrival, I immediately grasped the sense of emptiness and emptiness evoked by the film "See You Tomorrow."

By Mu Xiaozhou |

My first impression was that it was really unsightly. Words like desolate and dreary would not be an exaggeration to describe it. But later I thought I was wrong. Qingbang is my favorite among the three islands (Dongji Island and Zhujiajian) because of its primitiveness, simplicity and quietness, which made me completely relax.

Here, you can be quiet, crazy, and free!

Dongfushan only has a small amount of sea view and most of the rooms have mountain view, while Qingbang Island seems to have a sea view room in every household, so walking in Qingbang is very comfortable. Moreover, Qingbang is almost a visible beach, and you can go into the sea at any time, unlike the only beach in Miaozi Lake which charges a fee.

There are really a lot of houses here. I can't help but think that it must have been very lively when it was full of people. Most of the youth hostels and B&Bs are here. Walking among the houses, I didn't feel the sameness. There were surprises everywhere. For example, this house has a yard with a sea view. For example, this yard not only has a small field for growing vegetables, but also chickens, ducks and geese. This corner seems different from the previous one.

I booked a double room in a youth hostel in Qingbang on August 26th. It is very close to the beach. The original price was 210. Now I feel unwell and have to go home. If you want to go again, you can stay in my room, which is for sale at 180. I have already communicated with the landlord.

Much smaller than Miaozi Lake and less developed, it's a pleasant place with relatively few tourists. I highly recommend this island to those who don't want to visit movie locations! That night, we went to see the stars. We walked through the alleys for a long time, the darkness growing ever darker until we finally reached a darkened shore. Pitch black surrounded us. Looking up, it was the first time for me, a city dweller, to see such a beautiful starry sky! Above me, a sky filled with stars, below me, the vast ocean. Suddenly, I was between heaven and earth, feeling so insignificant. Even more surprising, the innkeeper said we could see the legendary fluorescent coast (formed by a cluster of fluorescent jellyfish). Upon closer inspection, we could indeed see tiny dots of light on the shore and in the sea. Unfortunately, I didn't bring a camera, so I couldn't capture any photos with my phone, which was a bit of a shame. We squatted for a long time by the pitch-black shore. As the night deepened, the fluorescent jellyfish in the sea became more and more numerous, and the stars twinkled on the surface. The Milky Way in the sky became increasingly prominent. I was mesmerized by the beautiful view. The next morning, at 4 a.m., my friends finally got me up to watch the sunrise! Although there's a sun-viewing platform on Aohama Island, the innkeeper suggested we go to the star-gazing area the night before because it's often crowded and there's a small pavilion right in front, offering a wide view. Sure enough, we were the only ones there to watch the sunrise. Haha! The sky grew brighter and brighter, and then suddenly, the light exploded! Capturing this magical and glorious moment, nature is truly beautiful.

Qingbang Island is known as the Potala Palace on the sea. There are not many people on the island, and there are a few hotels. If you are interested, you can visit the island.

By Anana |

Qingbang Island is smaller than Miaozihu Island, but the scenery is truly more beautiful. The houses and paths on the island are also very charming, so it's best to walk around the island to see the scenery. Before coming here, I read in travel guides that there are views of the Potala Palace on the sea on the island (although when I asked for directions, the islanders said there is no Potala Palace at all and that it was all nonsense, which is true).

By Things have changed |

I spent a day on each of the three Dongji Islands. Qingbang Island was much quieter than the other two, but I loved it even more. The people there are truly down-to-earth, and the scenery is truly stunning. Having traveled to many places, I've always felt that tourist spots are overdeveloped and expensive, but Qingbang Island was an exception. The entire island was serene and tranquil. Taking a break from my busy schedule to visit this slow-paced island was a truly relaxing and relaxing experience. I hadn't done any research and booked a room online beforehand, so I arrived during the Dragon Boat Festival and couldn't find a room. I eventually found a newly opened youth hostel in the area, Jiyou Youth Hostel. The name is a bit unassuming, and the decor is simple, but the owner, a man in his 90s, is humorous and the decor is rich and engaging. I was their first guest, and they treated me to a plate of homemade cold vermicelli noodles, which was incredibly delicious. It's a must-try next time I visit; I had two plates, and both were free. The red bean soup and crystal cake were also delicious. Qingbang Island has a natural beach. It is relatively small but it is the only natural beach in Dongji. Sitting there, feeling the sea breeze and looking at the sea view is a very good choice.

By Mu Bai in Dongji |

Qingbang Island is relatively undeveloped and remains in pristine condition, with abandoned houses covered in ivy and lush trees. There are few hotels and hostels on the island, and a full walk takes about 2-3 hours, or half a day to explore. If you prefer a quieter stay, you can also stay overnight. Qingbang Island is also the only island in the Dongji Islands with a natural beach, which has been expanded with new sand. Beach lovers should definitely check it out.

By No matter what name you call me, it's better to call me Yang Yang |

The scenery is beautiful. I went back and forth on the same day and didn't have time to see many of the itineraries. But I felt very happy to see the blue sea. The food on the island was a bit disappointing.

By Ah Hao |

Since Qingbang Island and Huangxing Island have very few residents and almost no supporting facilities, there are not many tourists, but I heard that the natural scenery is also good.

By Palm of Sorrow and Desolation |

Qingbang Island is the least developed one at present, and it still retains the original island fishing village scenery.

By Jingjingxi💓 |

There aren't many things to buy on Qingbang Island, with only one slightly larger supermarket. The island is mostly populated by local fishermen, and everyone is very familiar and hospitable.

On Qingbang Island, it seemed as if we were guests of the entire island. The fishermen on the island were very simple and honest, making a living by fishing. There were no special attractions on the island. The most famous one was the Potala Palace on the sea, which is actually an abandoned house.

But here you can experience the seaside, boasting Dongji Island's finest beaches. The tranquil Qingbang is perfect for relaxing, gazing at the ocean, listening to the crashing waves and the sea breeze, as if casting away all the gloom. In the evening, listen to the island radio. The village is especially beautiful in the afterglow of the setting sun. Climb to the top of the mountain, gaze out toward Miaozi Lake, and admire the sunset.

After watching the sunset, you need to go down the mountain quickly at around 18:20. Because there are no street lights, the road will become very dark and you need to prepare a flashlight, of course, a mobile phone will also work.

By Don't leave |

I still feel that the quiet Qinghang is more to my liking. Is there anyone who wants to stay on the island tomorrow or the day after tomorrow? I would like to find a companion. If you have any, please send me a private message.

By Playing around |

Qingbang Island has very few tourists and is a very pristine island. Although its scenery is not as good as Dongfushan Island and Miaozihu Island, it is quiet and worth a visit.

Go to Qingbang Island early in the morning, take the north route first, then the south route, and return to Miaozihu Island in the afternoon to circle the island. You can just catch the sunset under the statue of Caibogong in the evening.

Better than expected.

One of the three Dongji Islands, this is also the best. With its simple folk customs and beautiful scenery, it's a great place for a quiet retreat.

By China-TravelNote users |

Of the three Dongji Islands, Qingbang Island was absolutely stunning, exceeding my expectations. It's truly stunning. The islanders are friendly and simple, and there are several beautiful beaches. It's wonderful to escape all your worries here, enjoying the evening breeze, looking out at the ocean, and listening to the island radio. Life is truly wonderful. We stayed at the island's most artistic and refreshing inn, 30 Degrees North Latitude. The rooms are clean and simple, and there's a casual coffee bar in the lobby. We can watch movies in the evening, which is fantastic.

By Miss Jia is on the way |

After visiting the three islands, I felt the best was in Qingbang, probably because it satisfied my taste buds, hahahaha. You can also pick up shells on the beach and have a foot massage, which is great.

By ┌.".Wei.ì' |

Among the three inhabited islands of Dongji Island, Qingbang Island is the least known, but because of this, it has preserved the most primitive fishing life. In addition to the "Sea Potala Palace" seen at the pier, there is an abandoned village in another bay of the island, which gives people a different feeling of the simple life on the island. The alleys here are very small. When you walk through the stone-built fishing alleys, you will feel the quaint atmosphere of life. Walking among them, you will feel relaxed and comfortable.

By Freckled Girl Connie |

I decided to visit because of the "Potala Palace on the Sea." Initially, I was quite disappointed, seeing mostly abandoned houses. Later, I was moved by the culture. After watching the sunrise that morning (it's rare, so most people save for the first ray of sunlight at Dongfu Mountain), I had the best seafood noodles on the three islands. In the morning, I enjoyed the sea breeze, listened to the radio, and ate noodles. As we left, the islanders in the alleys waved goodbye. The locals are truly simple and honest.

By Sunny day little G♊︎ |

Qingbang Island is relatively quiet, with fewer people, and is suitable for sea fishing.

By Orangeらmm |

I passed by here by boat and didn't go up for a walk. The scenery should be good.

A place you won't want to leave once you've visited; a place of tranquility and peace; a place where, in a short time, you can feel a strong sense of belonging... That's assuming, of course, you're not a pretentious tourist. This is a place perfect for daydreaming: just feeling the sea breeze, listening to the sound of the ocean, and gazing at the stars is enough to keep you occupied for days. It's no exaggeration to say that on the island, you hardly feel the ties of personal gain. There's no deception, no scheming, and no need to think twice about what you say; everything is so simple, so innocent. You might not understand the words of the islanders, but you can definitely feel their warmth and innocence from their smiles. That's the woman who, after a while, will offer you a cucumber; that man who will teach you how to read the wind and tides; that man who will take you sea fishing...

I'd say, aside from the few who come here to show off, there are two types of people who come here: those who come with stories to tell, and those who come looking for stories to tell! Friends from all corners of the world meet on this island, in a youth hostel, and then eat, drink, play, brag, tell stories, sing, and discuss their ideals... It's so beautiful, so wonderful. Here, you'll discover that the true meaning of life is passion! Here, you can witness the wonders of nature: sunrises, sunsets, the Milky Way, the starry sky, fluorescent blue tears, shooting stars... You'll be in awe of nature!

If your heart is still wandering, if you are confused about the future, if you are burdened by heavy work pressure, if you have or have ever had a heart that pursues freedom, then come! Qingbang Island, a pure land that will not let you down. But please come quietly and quietly, and don't disturb this wonderful place!

One of the ferry boats returning from Dongfushan Island this morning stopped at Qingbang Island. After about twenty minutes, the boat docked at the island, known as the Potala Palace on the sea.

Not many tourists get off the boat, and it is not a must-go place for all tourists visiting Dongji Island.

Walking along the path on the hillside between the houses, Qingbang Island is neither as prosperous as Miaozihu Island as the administrative center, nor as unique as Dongfushan Island in terms of geographical location. As one of the three Dongji Islands, its status is a bit awkward. It is less popular, but it retains more of the original atmosphere of the Dongji Island people.

The tour route of Qingbang Island is different from the circular routes of the other two islands. It is a one-way line from south to north, and the main tourist attractions are concentrated in the north and south sections of the island.

The sandy beach in the middle of the island is surrounded on three sides by ancient houses, which look similar to the Dashuwan stone houses on Dongfushan Island, but are much smaller in scale.

There are scattered dwellings along the way, mostly populated by a few middle-aged and elderly residents. They grow vegetables and fish, living a self-sufficient life. Despite the booming tourism on Dongji Island, they continue to lead the same simple life as they did in the past. It seems as if all the young people have left, and they are the last few left.

Of course, all this will not end here. Qingbang Island will eventually become like Miaozihu Island or Dongfushan Island, but its progress will be slower.

By Xiao Dong walking freely |

The most beautiful Qingbang, see you later... When you go to Dongji, you must go to see the Xiaohai Cave, it will definitely not disappoint you...

By Free and comfortable |

It will always be someone else's scenery. The island is deserted and sparsely populated.

By Mumumumu heart |

I call it the Abandoned Island. Although the mountain is covered with dilapidated and uninhabited stone houses, there are still wild flowers and green grass all over the mountain. It is a beautiful mess.

It is not the most popular among the Dongji Islands, but it is worth a visit.

By That sea |

Visitors to Dongji who haven't visited Qingbang Island are missing out. In fact, Qingbang Island holds many hidden secrets and fascinating attractions. Many people only understand how a ten-minute boat ride can make such a huge difference. There's a shipwreck, a children's cave, a pristine beach, and ancient Banzeng. But how many people know the story of the Twenty Husbands? It's fair to say that the entire Dongji region has its own highlights. Dongfu Mountain and Miaozi Lake are too commercialized. Interested visitors should take the time to explore them.

In Zhoushan, you can take bus No. 3, 6, 7, 9, 13, 15, 20, or 29 to Banshengdong Station, and then walk a few minutes to Shenjiamen Banshengdong Wharf, where you can take a boat to Miaozihu Island.

By Han Fei Home |

The boat sailed to Qingbang, making a temporary stop at Qingbang Island. During this season, there were only two boats a day from Dongfushan to Miaozihu Island: at 8:30 and 11:00. And there was only one boat from Miaozihu to Shenjiamen: at 11:00. Therefore, to leave Dongji from Dongfushan, the only option was to catch the 8:30 boat.

By Roubaoziqian-_-not Ames |

No one lives here anymore, it's just a beach. To get to the island, you have to take a boat from Miaozi Lake. The main attraction here is the Potala Palace on the sea (the old houses of the residents), but it's also great to see it from the boat to Qingbang Island.

By Light |

On the way from Miaozi Lake to Dongfu Mountain, you'll stop at Qingbang Island, the most desolate of the three Dongji islands. The so-called "Potala Palace on the Sea" is actually a cluster of houses built on the island, which has since been vacated. From a distance, it looks a bit like a ghost. There are even fewer tourists on Qingbang Island, and most of them are residents.

By Mo Xiaomeng |

I have only seen it from afar and have never been there in person, but after seeing the photos posted by someone who lives there, I will definitely visit Qingbang Island next time I go to Dongji.

By Mr. Qi |

The Potala Palace on the sea is very beautiful. I want to go there once.

Qingbang Island has the strongest cultural atmosphere. Walking the three scattered routes around the island takes four to five hours. One is Xifeng Bay Xiaohaidong, one is Rizhu Bay Shanding Primary School, one is Zhimakeng Huangpangshan, and the other is the last two. The trails are less traveled and difficult, but the superb scenery can only be experienced after working up a sweat. The tranquility and peace are so rare that many irresponsible guides say that you don't need to visit Qingbang Island without even visiting it. Fortunately, I didn't miss it. It's so beautiful.

Aohama Island may not have been popular in the past few years, but with the development of tourism, it's gradually become more popular. After arriving by boat in the morning, I first dropped off my luggage at the hotel before starting my hike around the island, which takes about three hours. The gravel beach at Zephyr Bay is very beautiful and mostly deserted, making it perfect for selfies. However, I personally don't think it's suitable for swimming, as it's not a sandy beach. Wear sneakers or flip-flops when going down there; walking barefoot on the gravel can be very painful.

Qingbang Island, we just passed by this time and looked at it from a distance. It is very spectacular and is called the Potala Palace on the Sea. If you have time next time, you can choose to go there for a day to experience it.

By Diaspora |

After passing Miaozi Lake, the boat arrived at its second stop, Qingbang Island, about 15 minutes later. The area is lush with green grass and flowers, creating a vibrant lushness in spring and summer. The surrounding waters are a vibrant shade of indigo blue, so the locals call the seashore "bang," hence the name Qingbang Island. The island boasts the famous "Potala Palace on the Sea," as well as Xifeng Bay Beach. Compared to Miaozi Lake, this area is quieter and more secluded, making it ideal for sea fishing. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, Qingbang Island is also a good choice.

I passed by on my way to Dongfushan without stopping, but it looked quite spectacular.

Qingbang Island is the island where we stayed. The quaint folk customs are so good!

Of the three islands, Qingbang was the most surprising. I had no expectations before visiting, but it's the one I lingered on the most. Known as the Potala Palace on the Sea, it undoubtedly has the most houses, but it's also the least populated and the most desolate. It feels completely forgotten, with even tourists rarely setting foot there (except on major holidays). After a tour, I couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy. Qingbang is even more eerie at night, and some places are enough to give me a creepy feeling even after just one glance.

After leaving the pier, the seafood noodles on the shore are delicious and cheap, making people eager to eat

Qingbang Island belongs to Dongji Town in Putuo District. It is located 47.5 kilometers northeast of Shenjiamen Town, west of Miaozihu Island. It is slightly elongated, running north-south, 2.45 kilometers long and 0.8 kilometers wide. Its land area is 1.41 square kilometers, with a coastline of 10.5 kilometers. Its highest point, Huangpanglao Mountain, rises to 131.6 meters above sea level. The island is lush with green grass and flowers, creating a lush greenery in spring and summer. The surrounding waters are indigo blue, prompting locals to call the seashore "bang," hence the name Qingbang Island. It was inhabited during the Qing Dynasty, engaging in fishing and land reclamation and planting. There's no need to visit Qingbang Island, as it's deserted and sparsely populated. From a distance, it resembles the Potala Palace on the sea, so taking photos from afar is sufficient.

Qingbang Island, with its houses built along the mountainside in an orderly manner, is known as the Potala Palace on the sea.

I had planned to stay in Aohama for a few hours and explore the area, but when we arrived at Aohama Pier, the staff told us that there were only tickets left for the 8:30 p.m. boat, and we didn't know if the 11:00 p.m. boat would leave (bewildered face.jpg). After all, our accommodations in Higashifukuyama were already booked, and Higashifukuyama was a highlight of our trip. So, we had no choice but to check in at Aohama Pier and head to Higashifukuyama...

It is a 2-hour boat ride from Zhoushan Island. It is the easternmost inhabited island in China. The sea water is clear and there is the Potala Palace on the sea.

I like Qing Bang the most. It’s so fun to play with friends.

There are only two tourists on the entire island. Walking on the streets of the island, you can smell the strong scent of the sea.

I didn't go to the island, but I took a boat past it. The Potala Palace on the sea is very beautiful.

I brought a plastic stool and sat down next to the hatch. The sound of waves and engines filled my ears, but the world around me was truly quiet.

In the distance, the Qingbang Island fishing village, known as the Potala Palace on the sea, also stands there quietly, as if it has remained unchanged for many years.

Don't go if you like bustling places. It's quieter than Dongfu Island. Dongji Island is too quiet.

This old island fishing village is inhabited by elderly people and is quite quaint, quiet and friendly. There is not much to eat or do, so it is not a traditional tourist attraction loved by Chinese tourists. However, if you want to see the sea, feel the sea breeze, and experience the pure island sentiment, and be the most simple and lonely child of nature, then Qingbang Island will definitely surprise you more than Miaozi Lake.

Qingbang Island is not as famous as the other two islands, but my friends and I strongly recommend going to Qingbang, the scenery there is really beautiful!

There are really few people on Qingbang Island. I later asked the locals and they said that many of them went out to sea to fish. But I still saw many buildings with exhaust gas and no one lived in them.

The weather was bad and the fog was very heavy. Qingbang's famous attraction is the Potala Palace on the sea. If the weather was good, it would be very spectacular from a distance.

This island is one of the original islands of Dongji Island, with few people living there and beautiful natural environment. Compared with Miaozi Lake, it is quieter and more peaceful.

Qingbang Island is located in the southeast of Miaozi Lake. You will pass by here first when going to Dongfushan. From the boat, Qingbang Island has a stronger modern flavor than Dongfushan, but it is said that there are no farmhouse accommodations there. First of all, its buildings are mostly cement brick houses, with few of the ancient flavor of stone houses. Its berth is a steel platform, and it was not built too long ago.

Nan'ao on Qingbang Island, near the pier, is a concentrated residential area. The buildings on the island are built along the terrain, giving a scene of prosperity and development. Looking from a distance on a boat, the stacked houses are all over the trapezoidal hillside. It is known as the "Potala Palace on the Sea" and is very spectacular.

Looking at Qingbang Island from the sea, it has a bit of the flavor of the Potala Palace on the sea. It is a small island with a strong primitive atmosphere, simple folk customs and beautiful natural scenery. It only takes an hour to walk to Qingbang Island.

This place has the least people but is very beautiful. You will regret not going there. The water quality is not bad, but there are too many empty houses.

By Butterflies Flying |

The stone houses there are very distinctive. From a distance they really look like the Potala Palace and are very spectacular.

The stone houses on Qingbang Island are arranged in an orderly manner. When viewed from the sea, they are quite spectacular and are known as the "Potala Palace on the Sea".

The main reason why I stayed in this place the most was because it was quiet and simple.

By China-TravelNote users |

There are very few people. From a distance, it looks a bit like the Potala Palace, but up close, it feels more like a world of fireworks.

By Simona |

I wouldn't say it's fun, but it's a good place to relax and eat seafood. It's not like those popular coastal cities, and it's relatively quaint.
