镇岳宫介绍

镇岳宫位于陕西省渭南市华阴市玉泉路南段华山风景名胜区内。镇岳宫在华山东、西、南三峰中央，建于唐716年改建的华岳观上院宫，依西峰东麓而筑，随崖就势，构筑独特。《华岳志续编》中称其为“古厦千年，号曰上宫”。

镇岳宫为一楼一殿，供奉镇守华岳之神，即“西岳大帝”。宫内有一大石洞，内供“玉皇大天尊玄穹高上帝”，洞外崖壁上镌刻有：“华庙观上院镇岳宫”八个大字。镇岳宫是道教著名宫观，经历几经修葺，宫内回廊曲径，幽静典雅，宫外山谷间松 林荫翳，清幽异常；宫中有井，名曰玉井，深达30余米，水味甘醇，井上筑楼，传说此井与山下玉泉院内的玉泉相通。
