Introducing Longchi Bay

Longchiwan Scenic Area is located west of Hongcun, Anhui Province, at the intersection of Provincial Highway 518 and Yangzhanling, an ancient Tang Dynasty post road in Yi County. It is a National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site and a National AAA-level scenic area. Just across the river from Hongcun, a World Cultural Heritage site, it is 20 kilometers from Xidi and 25 kilometers from Huangshan Scenic Area, offering convenient transportation. Longchiwan Scenic Area boasts a beautiful natural environment, stunning rural scenery, a rich agricultural culture, and unique folk customs. The Yangzhan River, the source of Hongcun's ancient water system, runs through the scenic area, adding to its spiritual aura. The ancient Dragon Pond within the scenic area, known as "Longchiwan," was the water source of the ancient Lu Village. The release pond gives the scenic area its name. Near the pond stands the "Dragon King Temple," a prayer temple for rain, and Huangshan City's largest natural swimming pool, boasting crystal-clear waters teeming with fish and shrimp. In summer, visitors can enjoy swimming, playing, and boating.

The scenic area is traversed by the renowned ancient post road. Adjacent to the post road, the agricultural garden features a trolley (or "drum cart"), a water mill, a mill, an oil mill, a tofu shop, ox carts, and wooden tea and loom machines. Visitors can observe the rice pounding and tea making processes, or personally participate in the joyful tasks of drawing water, pounding rice, grinding flour, pressing oil, making tea, and making tofu. Visitors can also enjoy horseback riding at the racecourse, sip tea and watch fish in the bamboo teahouse, release animals at the release pond, admire the scenery from the Lanqiu Pavilion, and stroll along the stone paths through the fields, all for a refreshing and invigorating experience.
