Zhaixi Village is located along the Fuchun River in Zhaixi, Jiangnan Town, Tonglu County , 12 kilometers away from Tonglu County and 70 kilometers away from Hangzhou City. National Highway 320 passes through the village. It has a beautiful ecological environment, rich natural resources, deep water and wide beaches, making it an ideal place to produce pollution-free aquatic products.

Zhaixi is the eastern gate of Tonglu. The establishment of Zhaixi Wharf (freight terminal) has contributed greatly to its becoming the political, economic and cultural center of the southeastern region of Tonglu.

There are 10 ancient dwellings in Zhaixi Village , including 6 in Qiancun , 3 in Guchengzhuang , and 1 in Shenjia Village . However, the ones that are relatively well preserved are the former residence of Xu Zhihou in Qiancun and the residence of Shen Yongcheng in Shenjia.
