Taiping Bridge, located outside the city's west gate, is also known as Hexi Bridge. In the past, it served as a key route for Wuyuan, Qimen, Yixian, and Xiuning counties to enter She County, the seat of Huizhou Prefecture. Today, it remains a transportation hub for Huizhou, with three major highways converging here.

Taiping Bridge was built during the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty. It is a representative of giant multi-hole stone arch bridges . It is a sixteen-hole arch stone bridge with a length of 279.87 meters and a width of 6.9 meters. It can accommodate two cars in the middle and has pedestrian walkways on both sides.
