Introducing Guqiaolou

Guqiaolou, located in She County, Anhui Province, is home to the She County Museum. The museum displays cultural relics from She County throughout history, including calligraphy and paintings, porcelain, and She inkstones from various dynasties. The existing Guqiaolou largely retains the architectural style of the Song Dynasty, particularly its " rows of fence columns , " an authentic Song Dynasty construction method rarely seen today.

The Guqiao Tower is a three-story, palace-like structure, with stone steps on either side of the lower level and a pedestrian passage in the middle. Twenty-six wooden pillars, commonly known as the " Twenty-Four Pillars ," stand symmetrically along the sides of the passage (because the two middle ones were originally built into the gate wall).
