Introducing Jixi Museum

Jixi Museum, located in the center of the city, was originally the site of the old county government and also the site of the old county government office. It is a comprehensive local history and culture museum that integrates academic, knowledge, culture and entertainment and leisure.

The Jixi Museum's exhibitions are organized into six sections: the Form of Mountains and Rivers (Jishui Huishan Hall), the Spirit of Humanity (Humanities Jixi Hall), the Spirit of Commerce (Commerce Jixi Hall), the Folk Customs (Local Customs Jixi Hall), the Charm of Art (Huiyun Jixi Hall), and the Flavor of Cuisine (Huiwei Jixi Hall). These exhibitions showcase Jixi's time-honored natural beauty and rich history and culture through a comprehensive and comprehensive approach. A temporary exhibition hall is also available, hosting occasional special displays and temporary exhibitions.

The Jixi Museum has a collection of twelve scrolls of "Thatched Cottage Notes" in running script by Zha Shibiao, a wood seal of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, "Reading in the Viewing Place" by Wu Changshuo, "The Moon Shines Eternally on the Wuzhu Terrace" by Huang Binhong, " Ten Thousand Bamboos Swaying in the Mist and Rain" by Zhang Shanzi, a series of letters and couplets by Hu Shi, as well as a large number of precious portraits of ancient Huizhou, ancient Huizhou contract documents, ancient Huizhou clan genealogies, and ancient Huizhou brick, wood, and stone carvings.
