
Yingzhou West Lake, located 9 kilometers west of Fuyang City , is a comprehensive tourism and leisure resort with history and culture as its core, integrating ecological wetland tourism, leisure and vacation, conference and catering as its themes.
The scenic area includes over 20 scenic spots, including the Orchid Garden, Yiyuan Garden, Girl Terrace, Purple Bamboo Garden, Zuixianju, West Lake Forest of Steles, Hundred Flowers Garden, Qinglian Pavilion, Nine-Curve Bridge, Dressing Table, Su Causeway, and Ou Causeway. There is also a 6- square-kilometer National Wetland Park adjacent to the scenic area.
Song Dynasty poet Ouyang Xiu wrote thirteen poems titled "Picking Mulberries," praising Yingzhou West Lake with ten consecutive " good " characters. Su Shi also wrote dozens of poems praising Yingzhou West Lake, including famous lines like " Although West Lake is small, it is still as beautiful as Xishi, its winding waters are clear and abundant " and " The universe rises and falls in a single speck of dust, yet I don't know which is the superior of Hangzhou and Yingzhou. "
In spring, hundreds of flowers are in full bloom, competing for beauty; in summer, lotus flowers are in the sun, boats are sailing and fish are jumping; in autumn, chrysanthemums are in bloom and reeds are fragrant; in winter, the lake is ten miles long and hundreds of birds are flying. It is an excellent place for spring outings, summer vacation, river food in autumn and bird watching in winter.
