
The Luhu Lake Scenic Area is a natural landscape and ecological tourist destination centered around the Lucun Reservoir in Guangde County, Anhui Province, covering an area of 35 square kilometers and over 8,000 mu (approximately 1,000 hectares). Constructed in the early 1970s, the Lucun Reservoir is the largest artificial lake in Guangde County, Anhui Province, located 5 kilometers south of the county seat.
Surrounding the reservoir are rolling hills and vast bamboo forests, like a shimmering pearl set in a vast sea of green. This is why people also call it Lu Lake. The scenic area boasts beautiful natural landscapes, numerous cultural attractions, abundant local specialties, and high-quality resources. To the east lies the lush, verdant Ganxigou, a vast bamboo forest; to the south lies the Niqiaotou Ten-Mile Long Chong, known as "the world's finest stream"; and to the west lies the towering peaks of Jishan Mountain.

The area is rich in tourism resources. The main scenic spots include Lu Lake, Ganxigou and Jishan Bamboo Sea. Lu Lake is surrounded by mountains, and Ganxigou is characterized by mountain streams. It is located in the southern suburbs of the county seat and integrates sightseeing areas, holiday parks and ecological communities to create a tourist special zone that is suitable for travel, business and living.

Huapingshan
Huaping Mountain, a scenic spot in the Luhu Scenic Area, lies in the center of the lake. It overlooks the Canglong Peninsula to the east and faces Xiaoling Mountain to the west. Surrounded by water, the mountain forms an island in the lake. A memorial pavilion dedicated to Zhang Bo's flood control efforts stands on the mountain's cliffs. A stele gallery surrounds the mountain, inscribed with poems by renowned Guangde philosophers of past dynasties who visited the mountain, as well as masterpieces by contemporary painters praising the Luhu landscape.
