The Qingyuan Campus of Anhui University, also known as the new campus of Anhui University, is located in the University Town of Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is named " Qingyuan Campus " because the overall outline of the university resembles an ancient percussion instrument , a chime .
Mingqing Square, a sunken plaza nestled in the eastern embrace of Shizhi Building, serves as a venue for large-scale indoor and outdoor activities and for students to study and relax. Named after the chime, it evokes the overall campus name, "Qingyuan," and symbolizes the grandeur of the occasion , encouraging students to cherish time, cultivate talent, and enhance the reputation of our school.
Duxiu Avenue (pedestrian path): A striking contrast to Zhicheng Avenue, this pedestrian path provides a direct, north-south shortcut connecting the Qingyuan campus. Upon completion, this path will feature numerous cultural attractions, offering both educational and entertaining opportunities for pedestrians. The name Duxiu Avenue commemorates Chen Duxiu, an Anhui revolutionary and one of the founders of the Communist Party of China, and also demonstrates Anhui University's ambition to be a leading institution and a leader.
