Bagongshan National Forest Park is located one kilometer outside the north gate of Shou County, a famous historical and cultural city in China. The park consists of Yongquan Temple Scenic Area, Siding Mountain Scenic Area, Bagongshan Scenic Area, and Shizishan Scenic Area. Ancient dinosaur fossils have been discovered at the southwestern foot of Bagong Mountain, while megafauna fossils dating back approximately 100 million years have been discovered at its eastern foot. Foreign scholars have hailed this area as " a global mecca for paleontology . " According to tourism development plans, a " Precambrian Strata Geological Section Protection Area " will be established near the Liulao Monument on Bagong Mountain to provide opportunities for scientific exploration and education.
In March, pear blossoms bloom, their fragrance wafting for miles. Looking around, vast expanses of snow stretch as far as the eye can see. In autumn, the surrounding Pistacia forests, their leaves a fiery red, rivaling the crimson leaves of Xiangshan and the red maples of Yuelu .
