
The Chunshenjun Mausoleum is located in Liyingzi Town, Xiejiaji District, Huainan City, Anhui Province. Backed by mountains and facing the water, the mausoleum is adjacent to Laishan Mountain in the Bagongshan Range to the north and Wabu Lake to the south. It is 50 meters west of the Liyingzi Town Government. The mound is 19 meters high and 87 meters in diameter at its base, covering a total area of 7,000 square meters. It is the mausoleum of Chunshenjun Huang Xie, one of the " Four Gentlemen " of the Warring States Period .
Chunshen Jun , a native of Chu during the Warring States Period, had the surname Huang and the given name Xie. During the reign of King Kaolie of Chu (262-238 BC ) , he served as Prime Minister of Chu and was granted the title Chunshen Jun. He was granted twelve counties in Huaibei, later expanded to Jiangdong (present-day Jiangsu and Shanghai). Huang Xie was a learned and eloquent man. During his tenure as Prime Minister of Chu, he implemented benevolent policies, emphasized agriculture and commerce, and strengthened the military. His achievements were remarkable, and he is considered one of the " Four Gentlemen " of the Warring States Period, along with Mengchang Jun of Qi, Pingyuan Jun of Zhao, and Xinling Jun of Wei . In 238 BC , King Kaolie of Chu died, and Huang Xie was murdered by Li Yuan. He was buried in Liyingzi Town, Xiejiaji District.
