The Quanzhou Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall is located west of Shijing Town, Nan'an City, Zheng Chenggong's hometown. In 1962, to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Zheng Chenggong's return to Taiwan, the Nan'an County People's Government established the Shijing Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall in the Zheng Clan Ancestral Hall in the west corner of Shijing. The hall collects and exhibits artifacts and photographs related to Zheng Chenggong's life and achievements to promote patriotic education. In 1982, Mr. Lu, a Hong Kong compatriot, initiated the reconstruction of the hall on Aoshi Mountain. He later collaborated with Mr. Yu to complete the three-story palace-style building. The new hall, covering a total area of 3,000 square meters, is divided into three exhibition halls: front, middle, and back. It showcases the hero's life and achievements.
The front exhibition hall showcases the central theme of the memorial, with a full-length statue of Zheng Chenggong, a "Chronology of Important Events of Zheng Chenggong," a "Biography of Zheng Chenggong," poems by Zheng Chenggong titled "Recovery of Taiwan" and "Northern Expedition," as well as a color portrait of "Zheng Chenggong Accepting the Surrender of the Dutch Colonists" and "Taiwanese People Warmly Welcome Koxinga Zheng Chenggong."
The central exhibition hall showcases three themes: "Civil and Military Strategies, a Young Man of Prowess," "Northern Expedition Against the Qing Dynasty, Dominated Southeast China," and "Recovering Taiwan and Building the Treasure Island." The rear exhibition hall focuses on "Great Achievements, Immortalized Fame," showcasing precious artifacts and rare treasures unearthed from Zheng Chenggong's mausoleum, as well as numerous classical texts and historical materials, and paintings and calligraphy by renowned calligraphers and painters.
