The Jinjiang Science and Technology Museum is located in Hongshan Community, Qingyang Town, Jinjiang City. It borders the city's main thoroughfare to the west and the planned Jinjiang Cultural Square to the south, covering an area of 9.3918 mu (approximately 1.6 acres). The museum boasts a five-story building area of 7,099 square meters and features a plaza, green space, and parking at its entrance.
The Jinjiang Science and Technology Museum was completed and inaugurated in December 2002 at a cost of 14.68 million yuan. 60% of the museum's area is dedicated to exhibitions and education. It is currently the largest science and technology museum in the province, aside from the provincial museum, and one of the largest county-level museums in China. Zhou Guangzhao, Vice Chairman of the Ninth National People's Congress, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and President of the China Association for Science and Technology, inscribed the museum's name.

This serves to improve the public's scientific and cultural literacy and promote the development of my country's socialist material and spiritual civilization.
