
Jiangjunshan Park and the Jiangjunshan Revolutionary Martyrs Monument are located on Jiangjunshan Mountain, west of Xiaobian Village, Chang'an Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. The monument was funded and built in 1981 to commemorate the martyrs from Chang'an who heroically sacrificed their lives during the early years of the Chinese Revolution, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea and the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam.
The park features a main gate, the Grand View Tower, Dalong Lake, the Mingxiang Pavilion, the Stele Pavilion, the Chen Zheng Cemetery, and the Shilixiang Food Village. Chen Zheng was the father of Chen Yuanguang, the "Kaizhang Saint King." The Chen Zheng Cemetery houses the joint burial site of Chen Zheng and his wife, Sikong. Flanking the cemetery are large Tang Dynasty stone sculptures of Weng Zhong, horses, and sheep. Nearby are natural attractions such as the Sword Grinding Stone and the Sword Testing Stone. Visitors can hear numerous historical stories about the Kaizhang era and sample the unique Yunxiao-style snack, roasted kiln chicken.
