Zhangzhou, a prefecture-level city in southeastern Fujian Province, is designated a Historical and Cultural City by the State Council. This land boasts not only outstanding individuals but also a bountiful environment. The popular Sanping Temple, the Fengdong Stone, known as the world's most unique stone, the peculiarly shaped and unique earthen buildings, the Yundongyan Cave, the most famous cave in southern Fujian, and Yunshuiyao Ancient Town, the filming location for the movie "Yunshuiyao," are all attractions you won't want to miss.
Zhangzhou boasts a pleasant climate and stunning scenery year-round. Summer is a great time to explore the ocean, making it a great escape from the summer heat. Spring and autumn offer cooler weather, perfect for exploring the volcanic rocks at Nanding Island.
Nanjing Tulou
This National 5A-level scenic spot, built before the 11th century, boasts a history of over 1,000 years. It boasts the tallest, largest, smallest, most unique, and best-preserved tulou in existence. It's fair to say that a visit to Nanjing's tulou complex isn't a true tulou experience. Tianluokeng, Yuchang Tower, Hegui Tower, the Hekeng Tulou Cluster, and Yunshuiyao are all famous attractions here.
Fengdongshi Scenic Area
Located on Dongshan Island, this scenic area is named after the Wind-Moving Stone within it, known as the "World's Most Wonderful Stone," and is the island's iconic landmark. Centered around the Wind-Moving Stone, the scenic area encompasses Tongshan Ancient City, Ta Island, Jiuxian Peak to the west, and Maluan Bay to the south. Famous figures and lay Buddhists throughout history have visited this area, leaving behind countless poems and essays praising its beauty. The vast majority of the scenic landscape is within the scenic area.
Volcano Island Natural Ecological Scenic Area
This is China's only coastal volcanic geological landscape tourist area. The volcanic island, with its scenic spots such as Xiangshan, Linjin Island, and Nanding Island, resembles a natural volcanic geological museum. The scenic area is well-equipped with sightseeing buses, a high-end hotel, eco-friendly wooden villas, fisherman's houses, a lawn restaurant and bar, and an RV campground.
