Since 2001, Huaxi has been leveraging a "one-division, five-unification" approach to foster the shared development of 20 surrounding villages. The result is a 35-square-kilometer "Greater Huaxi" with a population of 30,340. This rural community boasts verdant mountains, lakes, highways, waterways, tunnels, and a heliport.
Huaxi Village boasts over 80 scenic spots, including its iconic Huaxi Golden Pagoda, a seven-story, 98-meter-tall structure. In 2012, Huaxi Village's total revenue reached 52.45 billion yuan. Huaxi Group, a subsidiary of Huaxi Village, was designated a Class A large-scale township enterprise by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1996.
