Lingqi Cave, located 35 kilometers southwest of Jiande City, Zhejiang Province, comprises three caves: Lingquan, Qingfeng, and Aiyun, and the Lingqi Stone Forest. The overall scenic area is characterized by lush mountains, clear waters, unique caves, beautiful rocks, and magical mist .
Lingxi Cave boasts a history of over 1,300 years. According to the Jiande County Chronicles, as early as the first year of Emperor Gaozong's Yonglong reign ( 680 AD), people were exploring the cave. Tang Dynasty poet Li Pin coined the phrase , " Lively bamboo shoots grow on the rocks, and exotic flowers fall from the springs , " a vivid description of the cave's scenery.
Walking along the winding mountain paths, through the rocks, you can admire 18 groups of lifelike stone sculptures, such as " Phoenix Seeking the Phoenix " and " The Twelve Chinese Zodiac Animals, " which are quite fascinating.
