
Lijiang Guanyan is located 29 kilometers south of Guilin City , in Caoping Township on the east bank of the Li River. Guanyan is an underground cave with a thousand-year-old cultural history. Originally named " Ganyan " for the sweet spring water within , it was later renamed " Guanyan " for its crown-like appearance .
As early as 1637 AD , Xu Xiake came here and became the first famous cave explorer in Guanyan. He recorded Guanyan in detail in "Xu Xiake's Travel Notes".
From the lawn, you can take a sightseeing trolley through a rural landscape to the Guanyan Cave. Alternatively, you can walk to the Qingyun Ladder halfway up the mountain and take the sightseeing elevator directly into the cave. After walking through a section of cavernous scenery, you'll reach an underground curved bridge where you can listen to the waves. Inside the cave, you'll find a roaring waterfall, a massive curtain of water cascading down into the deep pool.
The Baicao Leyuan, peach and plum gardens, elephant acrobatics, folk crafts, waterwheel mills, carp ponds, farmhouses, rural scenery and folk customs in Guanyan Scenic Area are all beautiful; it is a paradise on earth, making people feel simple and leisurely, and reluctant to leave.
