The Songshan Ski and Grass Skiing Field is located in Songshan, the Central Peak, nestled between the World Geopark and the National Forest Park, and closely connected to the Luya Waterfall. Construction began in March 2006 and the field opened in December of the same year. It is the only entertainment venue in Henan and even in the five central provinces that combines winter skiing, spring, autumn, and summer grass skiing, as well as leisure and fitness. With a construction area of 50,000 square meters, it can accommodate 1,600 people simultaneously during the winter. In addition to skiing and grass skiing, it also offers activities suitable for most visitors, such as hot air ballooning, archery, zorb, grass skiing boats, and grass karts. The grass skiing in spring, autumn, and summer is particularly enjoyable, offering not only the same thrill of skiing, but also the opportunity to relax and unwind at the Luya Waterfall, where you can listen to the water's gurgling sounds, admire the mountain scenery, learn about geology, and enjoy the natural oxygen bar, allowing for a better rest and relaxation.
The scenic area currently boasts two ski slopes: a 480-meter-long beginner and intermediate main slope for skiers, grass skiers, and beginners to experience and practice; and a 200-meter-long auxiliary half-pipe for snow tubing (in winter), snow tubing (in winter), grass skiing (in spring, summer, and autumn), and zorbing (in spring, summer, and autumn). The ski resort boasts a beautiful landscape, with lush greenery, white snow, crimson plum blossoms, and cascading waterfalls creating a stunning backdrop.
The temperate monsoon climate makes it suitable for travel in all four seasons. Grass skiing is possible in spring, summer and autumn, while skiing is the best option in winter.
Skiing, grass skiing, and other entertainment activities such as go-karts, zorb balls, snowboards, snow tubing, snow saucers, and hot air balloons are also available.

Currently, there are no night skiing or light shows available at Songshan Ski and Grass Skiing Field. The venue operates during daylight hours, with skiing limited to daytime. However, special events may be organized during festivals.
