Gongyi Panlong Mountain Scenic Area is located in the northeast of Shecun Town, Gongyi City, and on the north side of Mount Song. It has steep mountains, lush forests, clear water and rich vegetation. The canyon is accompanied by mountains and waters, with rugged peaks and gurgling streams that are crystal clear all year round and flow continuously.
The scenic area includes the Jiulian Cave, a group of natural karst caves, the Panlong Mountain with its unique and beautiful peaks, the Jiulong Gorge Scenic Area, the Jiguan Mountain Scenic Area, and the Wolong Lake Scenic Area. Some attractions of the Jiulian Cave, the Jiulong Gorge Scenic Area, and the Wolong Lake Scenic Area have been developed.
Among the scenic spots are Jiulian Cave, a natural karst cave formed 700 million years ago; Jiulong Gorge, where you can see underwater landscapes dating back billions of years; and Jiguan Mountain, a still undeveloped mountain. Along the " winding path leading to a secluded place " scenic path, there are over 30 natural attractions, including dragon-shaped rocks, mountain springs, huge rocks, cliffs, peaks, waterfalls, and underwater wonders dating back billions of years .
When spring comes and flowers bloom, hundreds of acres of bobeng flowers in Gongyi Panlong Mountain Scenic Area are in full bloom, like a large natural garden; in autumn, the mountains are covered with colorful forests, like a beautiful landscape painting, and you can also pick golden fruits.

Panlong Mountain is a historical and cultural site, known for its ancient temples and scenic beauty. It has long been a place for meditation and religious practices, offering a serene escape from the urban environment of Zhengzhou.
Panlong Mountain is located in the western part of Zhengzhou. You can take a taxi or use local buses that go directly to the mountain base. It’s also possible to walk from nearby transport stations, though the mountain itself requires a hike.
Panlong Mountain is open daily from 8 AM to 6 PM. The best times to visit are during the spring and autumn months when the weather is mild and the foliage is at its most beautiful.
The entrance fee is around 30-50 CNY. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance or online for convenience during peak seasons.
It is recommended to book tickets in advance during the peak tourist season (spring and autumn). A few days' notice should suffice, especially for weekend visits.

Start at the base, hike up to the highest viewpoint, visit the main temple, and then follow the trail to explore the surrounding pagodas and natural landscapes. End your visit with a relaxing stop by the lakeside area, if available.
Night visits and light shows are not typically offered, as the mountain is best experienced during daylight hours. However, the serenity of the area at dawn or dusk provides its own unique appeal.
The mountain can get crowded on weekends and public holidays. To avoid crowds, visit on weekdays, especially in the morning or late afternoon, during the off-peak season.

After visiting the mountain, taxis or buses can take you back to Zhengzhou city for further exploration. The city’s train station and metro system also offer easy access to other parts of Henan province.
