Fuxi Grand Canyon is located in the Fuxi Mountain Tourist Area, 20 kilometers northwest of Xinmi City, Zhengzhou, Henan Province. It is a national AAAA-level scenic spot. It is a canyon scenic spot dominated by the typical red rock gorge geological landscape. It is also the first AAAA-level scenic spot in Xinmi City.
Fuxi Mountain is the eastern extension of the Songshan Mountain Range. Its main peak, Wuzhiling, stands at 1,108.5 meters and spans the entire Fuxi Mountain area. The scenic area boasts a mild climate with distinct seasons, and an average annual temperature of 11.6°C, 2.7°C lower than the urban area. The area boasts lush vegetation and diverse species, with lush greenery and abundant flowers and trees. Dozens of ancient and renowned trees over a thousand years old are home to the Gukang Tree, a species known as a "living plant fossil" and unique to Fuxi Mountain. The scenic area boasts year-round flowing water, and the valley floor boasts cascading waterfalls, cascading waterways, deep pools, and tranquil lakes, creating a tranquil and refreshing atmosphere. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, and the massive rocks appear polished, mirror-like, and smooth, offering visitors a rare "rock bath." The total planned area of the scenic area is 5.3 square kilometers. It takes Fuxi culture and Red Stone Grand Canyon as its main features and is divided into two parts: the upper part is dominated by Wolongtai, Cultural Tunnel, Wangxiangtai, Baguatai, Wannian Li, Lixian Temple, Nuwa Repairing the Sky, Divine Turtle Broken Foot, Five-Colored Stone and other attractions, which fully reflect the formation, development, dissemination of Fuxi culture and its influence on later generations; the lower part is dominated by Huanglongtan, Huanglong Temple, Boqitan, Lilongguotan, Guanyun Waterfall (Dragon Shadow Waterfall), Bafentan, Turtle Paying Homage to His Birthday, Jiulongtan, Totem Pole, Matigou, Muyun Ladder and other attractions, where you can deeply feel the canyon scenery and experience the wonders of nature.
The Red Stone Forest Glass Corridor in Fuxi Mountain Tourist Area was officially opened to tourists on June 16, 2018.
