Introducing Cisheng Temple

Cisheng Temple is located in Dawu Village, Fantian Town, west of Wen County, facing south. The old county annals say that writing, painting and sculpture are known as the three wonders in the world, so it is commonly known as the " Three Wonders Temple " . It was first built in the early Tang Dynasty and was renovated many times during the Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.

Cisheng Temple has a unique Ming and Qing architectural style. It faces south and has a clear central axis with the mountain gate, Heavenly King Hall, main hall, east and west bell and drum towers, east and west side halls, and east and west screen walls arranged in sequence. The layout of the single-entry courtyard is reasonable and the design is exquisite. After more than 870 years of construction, the main building has remained stable.

There were originally exquisite murals on the walls of the Heavenly King Hall, covering an area of 200 square meters. The Heavenly Kings in the paintings were mighty and brave, lifelike, and seemed to be jumping out of the walls. This is unique among the Yuan Dynasty murals preserved in the Central Plains.
