
Henan Paomaling Geopark is located in Shibaotou Township, Weihui City, a historic and cultural city in Henan Province, in the southeastern corner of the Southern Taihang Mountains. Spanning a total area of 27.83 square kilometers, it is a National AAA-level Scenic Area, a National Water Conservancy Scenic Area, and a Provincial Forest Park, boasting exceptional natural landscapes and rich cultural attractions.
Located in the southeastern corner of the Southern Taihang Mountains, Paomaling Geological Park boasts a vast, mountaintop grassland stretching thousands of acres, a unique sight in China. This vast expanse of emerald green stretches as far as the eye can see. This was once the site where Zhu Yuanzhang's general, Xu Da, trained his troops. The Cang River flows through the park, offering scenic views along its banks. The park boasts numerous attractions, including the Tagang Lake Scenic Area, Qiyu Mountain, Qingnian Cave, the Xiaodian River Ming and Qing Dynasty architectural complex, and the Henan Paomaling Geological Park. The cultural and natural landscapes intertwine beautifully. The rippling emerald waters of Bailong Lake blend seamlessly with the towering mountains, creating a natural landscape reminiscent of a natural painting. Fish swim within the lake, and swans nestle on its surface, creating a tranquil and beautiful scene.
