Introducing Alugudong National Geopark

Located in Luxi County, over 160 kilometers from Kunming, Alugu Cave National Geopark is a cluster of underground caves, a typical karst landform. It is an ancient and magical underground abode with nine peaks and eighteen caves. Xu Xiake, the famous Ming Dynasty traveler, was fascinated by the area and visited the caves twice, leaving behind the famous quote, "The water of Luyuan gushes out from the lower cave, and the caves of Luyuan cluster on the hanging rocks."

Luxi Alu National Geopark is a medium-sized geological and geomorphological geological park with karst cave groups, karst cave landscapes and karst landform landscapes as its main body, supplemented by paleontological fossil sites, ancient human remains, natural ecology and cultural landscapes. It combines scientific and aesthetic values.

After the Alu Ancient Cave opened to the public in 1987, it attracted a large number of tourists from both China and abroad.
