Luchong Scenic Area mainly refers to Luchong Village, located on the west bank of Fuxian Lake. Historically, this place has been known for its outstanding people and beautiful scenery, and was once known for its reputation of "two Jinshi in one family, two Hanlin in every hundred steps."
There is a large Luchong Cave in the scenic area, located in the south of the village. There is abundant underground spring water, and the water temperature remains at around 24°C all year round. The spring water flows continuously into Fuxian Lake.
In summer and autumn, villagers use water trucks to catch schools of wave-resistant fish that swim upstream, which is a great spectacle here.
Every year on the 19th day of the second lunar month, a temple fair is held at Guanyin Temple on the main peak of Bijia Mountain. The scene is lively and grand.
Bosi Bay, located north of Beacon Hill, is calm and peaceful, making it a great place for swimming and water sports.
