Introducing Wenlan Pavilion

Wenlan Pavilion, located at the foot of Gushan Mountain in Hangzhou, is now housed within the Zhejiang Provincial Museum. Completed in 1783 , the 48th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, Wenlan Pavilion was one of the seven major library complexes built during the Qing Dynasty to house the Siku Quanshu (Complete Library in the Four Treasures of the Imperial Library). It is the only surviving of the Three Pavilions of Jiangnan. According to contemporary records, " The pavilion is situated on the south slope of Gushan Mountain, with Baidi Causeway to the left and Xiling Bridge to the right. Its elevated position affords a panoramic view of West Lake."
