The Qingdao Taipingshan Scenic Area is located within the Qingdao Municipal Scenic Area Protection Area. Taipingshan Central Park encompasses seven parks: Zhongshan Park, the Botanical Garden, the Zoo, Julin Park, Qingdaoshan Park, Baihua Garden, and Huiquan Square.
Taiping Mountain Scenic Area is located in Shinan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It is the largest scenic area in Qingdao City, with natural mountains, forests, trees, flowers and other flora and fauna as its main landscapes. It is one of Qingdao's high-altitude viewing spots.
Taiping Mountain, formerly known as Huishan, stands over 150 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in downtown Qingdao. During the German occupation, it was called Irtis Mountain and housed a fort. After the Japanese occupation, it was renamed Xushan. After the Chinese government regained control of Qingdao, it was renamed Taiping Mountain.
Qingdao is located in the northern temperate monsoon region and has a temperate monsoon climate with humid air, abundant rainfall, moderate temperature and distinct four seasons.
