The Wuliu Scenic Area is located in Jiagou Town, Suzhou. Nestled within the Dawuliu Mountains, there are three springs. The top one is called Sieve Spring, now known as Pearl Spring. The middle one is called Xiequan, the largest. As its name suggests, if you step into it, your feet will sink deeper into the muddy water below, and the more you move, the faster you sink, like sinking into a swamp. The bottom one is called Mabazi Spring, now known as Longquan, which gives Longquan Lake its name.
Wuliu Scenic Area, also known as Wuliu Longquan Scenic Area, is located in Jiagou Town, about 30 kilometers north of Yongqiao District, Suzhou City. It is in the center of Xuzhou, Huaibei and Suzhou, with a total area of about 35 square kilometers. Because the scenic area is rich in natural springs, Longquan, Hequan, etc., and there is Longquan Lake, the locals call it Wuliu Longquan.
Wuliu Scenic Area includes the main scenic area of Longquan Lake, Dafang Temple Forest Farm, Penshan Cave, Longquan Temple, Min Ziqian Temple, Duan Shang Cultural Site, Ancient Han Tombs and many other places of interest and cultural landscapes.
Wuliu Scenic Area is surrounded by mountains on the south, west and north, with a wide variety of plants and a pleasant climate.
The climate is warm temperate and semi-humid. In the main scenic area, Longquan Lake has rippling blue waves and sweet water. The banks are lined with weeping willows, cypresses and cedars, creating a very beautiful scenery. The stalagmites and stone pillars in the basin cave of the scenic area are bizarre and give people rich imagination.
