It spans the Longchuan River Valley between Shangbanghuan Village, Longjiang Township, Longling County, Baoshan City, and Dabingnong Village, Wuhe Township, Tengchong County. It is a single-span simply supported steel box girder suspension bridge and is a key project of the Baoshan-Tengchong Expressway.
The Longjiang Bridge has a total length of 2,470.58 meters and a deck width of 33.5 meters. It is designed as a four-lane bidirectional bridge with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The total height of the Baoshan side bridge tower is 169.688 meters, and the total height of the Tengchong side bridge tower is 129.703 meters. The estimated investment is 1.955 billion yuan.
The construction of Longjiang Bridge is of great significance to improving the skeleton road network structure of Yunnan Province's highway trunk lines, building China's major land channel facing South Asia, improving the transportation pattern of the entire province and western Yunnan, improving Yunnan Province's skeleton road network system, and promoting the development of tourism, society and economy in western Yunnan.
