Visit the Former Site of Qingdao Exchange to explore the historical significance of the building and its role in the economic development of Qingdao. Take a guided tour to learn about its architecture, historical events, and its impact on Qingdao’s development. The building’s old-world charm is perfect for photography enthusiasts.

The former site of the Qingdao Exchange Building is located at 22 Guantao Road, Shibei District. This was once the center of Japanese trade in Qingdao. While the main structure remains intact, the exterior is somewhat dilapidated. It is now owned by the Qingdao Naval Forces and has been converted into a hotel.
After the establishment of the North Sea Fleet in 1960, No. 22 Guantao Road was converted into the North Sea Fleet Service Club. Its symmetrical facade features a three-story Corinthian colonnade, with two small towers above the pediment, each with a small curved roof. After years of meticulous renovation, this century-old building will be transformed into a large-scale, integrated hotel integrating dining, guesthouses, and cultural facilities. Designated a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit, it is one of Qingdao's most beautiful historical buildings and can accommodate large-scale conferences, entertainment performances, wedding banquets, exhibitions, celebrations, film and television shoots, wedding photo shoots, press conferences, and more.
Qingdao is located in the northern temperate monsoon region and has a temperate monsoon climate with humid air, abundant rainfall, moderate temperature and distinct four seasons.
