Taking advantage of Tianhai's unique climate, the Huangshan Landscape Department established the Tianhai Alpine Botanical Garden as a natural botanical ecological zone. Tianhai's flowers include Huangshan azalea, Huangshan angelica, Huangshan magnolia, wild rose, camellia, and violet. Huangshan azalea blooms in spring and fades in early summer. Cold-resistant, it comes in bright red, pink, purple, and white, and can be found on Huangshan's peaks and deep valleys. Huangshan angelica, which grows on peaks over 1,000 meters, has seven or nine petals and blooms in early summer. These large, saucer-sized flowers are elegantly white and fragrant. Huangshan magnolia is a deciduous tree that blooms in early summer, with flowers appearing before leaves. Tianhai is also a great spot for viewing the sea of clouds. Whenever the clouds appear, the sky and the sky merge into one, creating a majestic spectacle.
The subtropical monsoon climate makes it suitable for traveling and viewing the sea of clouds in all seasons.
