The Drum Tower in Hangzhou is located on the east side of Wushan Mountain, connected to Shiwukui Lane in the south, Dajing Lane in the north, Zhonghe Road in the east, and Wugong Mountain in the west. It is the starting point of the southeast side of the Qinghefang Historical Block.

The Drum Tower was a coastal watchtower in ancient times. It was first built in the Southern Dynasties during the Five Dynasties period, about 1,400 years ago. It was successively named Xinchengxu, Chaotianmen, Gongbei Tower, Laiyuan Tower, and Zhenhai Tower. It is commonly known as the Drum Tower among the people.
