The main peak of Baiyunyuan, Guanyinjian, is 1,246.5 meters above sea level and is the highest peak on the Fuchun River. Standing at Guanyinjian, you can see the alpine grasslands undulating gently at your feet; the surrounding mountains are covered with lush green and the sea of clouds is vast; overlooking the banks of the Chunjiang River, you can see the bustling streets at sunrise and the clusters of lights and flags at night.
Baiyunyuan boasts diverse plants and biodiversity, maintaining a complete ecosystem. Known as a " poetry village , " Baiyunyuan has attracted countless literati and poets throughout the ages, including those who visited the Dongtai fishing spot owned by Yan Ziling of the Eastern Han Dynasty and the secluded Baiyun Village of Fang Gan during the Tang Dynasty. Reminiscent of those days, leaning on the railings of Dongtai, gazing at the enchanting spring river flowing eastward and the shrouded clouds and mist of Baiyunyuan, they all longed to forget the trivialities of life and become unsummoned ministers of the ages.
The four seasons are suitable, and the average summer temperature is 6 ℃ lower than Hangzhou , making it a summer resort.
The iconic attractions of Baiyunyuan include the Big and Small Dragon Gates, Yuanyangtan, Qinglong Gorge, etc. There are small cabins for living in the forest, and hundreds of acres of alpine grassland on the mountain top.
