Zhuge Ancient Town is adjacent to the Zhuge Wuhou Temple in Mian County, bordered by the Han River to the south, and faces the southern foot of Dingjun Mountain. It is very close to nearby attractions such as Ma Chao's Tomb and the ancient Yangping Pass.
The scenic area integrates a diverse mix of history and culture, folk customs and arts, live performances, leisure and entertainment, and cultural architecture. It comprises the Wuhou Temple, Ma Chao's Tomb, the main Zhuge Ancient Town area, the Jinguan Theater, the Han River Waterfront Leisure Area, the Qingshe Boutique Inn, the Zhuge Water Town, and the Han River Rafting. The main area is based on Zhuge Liang's Bagua formation, with a water street and a dry street as the primary circulation routes, symbolizing the yin and yang of the Bagua.
The project area is surrounded by abundant cultural and tourism resources, which are very close to each other. There are more than ten scenic spots of various sizes, most of which are cultural landscapes, basically based on the Three Kingdoms culture, with a small amount of natural landscapes.
The ancient town is steeped in Three Kingdoms culture. Therefore, the design of themed exhibition halls dedicated to Three Kingdoms culture, Zhuge Liang culture, and military culture, such as the Cold Weapon Museum, the Integrity Hall, and the Loyalty Hall, complements the surrounding tourism industry and serves as a link between culture and commerce within the scenic area. This creates an architectural belt rich in Three Kingdoms and Han culture. This not only provides a cultural showcase for visitors, but also creates a new cultural tourism attraction to attract tourists.
It has a warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate with distinct seasons: cold, warm, dry, and wet. Winters are cold, windy, foggy, and with little rain or snow; springs are warm, dry, windy, and changeable; summers are hot and rainy, with a prominent summer drought and frequent thunderstorms and strong winds; and autumns are cool, with a rapid drop in temperature and significant autumn rain.
