Baoqing Villa, also known as Baoqing Guild Hall, is located at No. 40 Beishan Road . It was built in 1907. The main building is in typical European style. As the only Baroque-style building on Beishan Street, it has always been one of the must-see spots in Hangzhou.

In 1929 , Baoqing Villa was used as the Fourth Industrial Pavilion at the West Lake Expo. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was used as a residential building. Later, after renovations, the famous Geling Hotel opened in 1931. It later served as the residence of Zhang Daofan, the KMT's Central Propaganda Minister .

In 2014 , Baoqing Villa was transformed into the Hangzhou Chinese Painting Academy Art Museum and opened to the public.
