Tiecha Mountain lies on the coast of the Yellow Sea in the south of Rongcheng City, Shandong Province, covering an area of about 20 square kilometers. Its main peak, Qingliangding, is 539 meters above sea level and covers an area of about 30 square kilometers. Because it has nine peaks connected together and its color is like dark blue, it is known as "Nine-peak Tiecha Mountain".
Chashan, with its nine consecutive peaks, stands tall and majestic, with the mountains and sea juxtaposed against each other, creating a magnificent spectacle. Since ancient times, it has been known as the "Great Eastern Scenic Spot." Nine Dragon Pond and Yanshou Palace are both scenic spots within the mountain. Chashan is a major birthplace of Taoism. According to historical records, during the Dading period of the Jin Dynasty, Yuyang worshipped Wang Chongyang as his teacher and practiced Taoism in the Yunguang Cave of Chashan. He founded the Kunshan School of Quanzhen Taoism and later moved to Qingliang Peak of Chashan. He carved the Qianzhen Cave into a rock face to the north and continued his Taoist practice, leaving behind numerous relics.
It has a temperate continental semi-humid monsoon climate with distinct four seasons, moderate cold and hot seasons, synchronized light and temperature, and simultaneous rain and heat. Spring is dry and windy, summer is hot and rainy, autumn is sunny and refreshing, and winter is cold and snowy.
