Introducing Qiushui Villa

Qiushui Villa, located on North Mountain Road in West Lake, Hangzhou, was built in 1932 as the Hangzhou villa of Republican newspaper magnate Shi Liangcai. Named after his beloved wife, Shen Qiushui, the two-story Jiangnan courtyard-style villa was built. After Shi Liangcai was assassinated by Chiang Kai-shek, Shen Qiushui donated the villa to a social welfare institution, and it is now part of the Hangzhou Xinxin Hotel.

It is said that Qiu Shui Villa was modeled after the Yihong Courtyard in "Dream of Red Mansions". It is surrounded by courtyards, with walls and iron gates along Beishan Road. It is backed by Geling Mountain and faces the soft water of West Lake. After staying at the Xinxin Hotel, you can drink tea here and enjoy the lake view.
