Banshan Church, located in Hangzhou Banshan National Forest Park, north of Banshan Road in Hangzhou's Gongshu District, is a modest and elegant church with a history of over 30 years. In the late 1970s, as the tide of the Cultural Revolution gradually receded, churches across the country began to open, and the number of believers increased dramatically. Many small gathering places were established to meet the needs of believers. Banshan Church was one of them.

Initially, a brother named Shen led several members to meet in a believer's home (the specific individuals and location are now unknown). The simple gathering environment, the single-digit number of believers, and the simple singing, prayer, and preaching were the prototype of the church. After nearly a decade of evangelism and growth, the church's membership grew to over 50 , and an elder named Lu was appointed.

Today, Mid-Levels Church has over 600 registered members and over 400 attendees on Sundays . Various fellowship activities and gatherings are offered during the week. While Mid-Levels Church's growth hasn't been rapid, it has been steadily progressing. The church's staff consists of one pastor, one elder, and dozens of staff members and volunteers.
