Hanzhong Tianhan Wetland Park lies on both sides of the Han River south of Hanzhong City, with a riverbank length of 5.6 kilometers and a total area of approximately 5 square kilometers. Over a decade ago, this area was a barren wasteland overgrown with weeds, making it uninhabitable. As a demonstration project for the comprehensive management of the Han River, the park has been transformed into a comprehensive wetland park integrating ecological protection with recreational and fitness opportunities for residents, becoming Hanzhong's "urban living room."
The climate is transitional from the warm and humid zone to the northern subtropical zone. It is warm and humid, with rain and heat occurring in the same season. There is no extreme heat in the summer and no severe cold in the winter. It is suitable for travel in all four seasons.
Tianhan Wetland Park is backed by the Han River and features natural ecology, Han culture, and Jiangnan style. It integrates water, embankments, roads, gardens, and buildings. Adhering to the water conservancy functions of flood control, water conservation, and water resource protection, it has formed a unique landscape layout of three sections and nine districts on both sides of the river.
