Cao Ying's study is located in Building 3, No. 178 Wulumuqi South Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai , adjacent to Xia Yan's former residence. Cao Ying was the first Chinese translator of Sholokhov's works and single-handedly completed the translation of the complete works of Tolstoy. His other translations include War and Peace, Anna Karenina , and Resurrection. He has received the China Translation Culture Lifetime Achievement Award, the Shanghai Artist Lifetime Honorary Award, and the Gorky Literature Prize, among other honors.

Designed with full respect for his family's input, the Cao Ying Study showcases his tireless pursuit of translation through three themes: " Humanitarian Enlightenment ," " The Bridge Between China and Russia ," and " The Way of Translation . "

The interior of Cao Ying's study is decorated with old items that he used during his lifetime. It not only stores his lifelong collection of books, restores the scene of his study, and displays his translation achievements, but more importantly, inherits Mr. Cao Ying's professional spirit and establishes a platform for the exchange of Chinese and foreign ideas and translation academics.
