Introducing Tao Chengzhang's Tomb

Tao Chengzhang's tomb, located on Longjing Road in Hangzhou's Xihu District, is a renowned modern revolutionary. Committed to expelling the Manchus and overthrowing the Qing dynasty, he actively participated in revolutionary activities and was one of the founders of the Restoration Society. After the founding of the Republic of China, he declined the position of Governor of Zhejiang and actively prepared for the Northern Expedition. In 1912 , he was assassinated at Shanghai Guangci Hospital by Chiang Kai-shek and Wang Zhuqing, acting on the orders of Chen Qimei.

On either side of Tao's tomb are the tombs of Yang Zheshang and Shen Youzhi. The tombs are built with bluestone slabs and are rectangular in shape, with an offering table in front and an inscription carved on the stone in front of the tomb, which is simple and dignified.
