Futuo Temple, located on Baizhang Futuo Mountain in Yuhang District, Hangzhou, is named after the mountain . It is a renowned Buddhist sanctuary, known for its " Ten-mile Bamboo Sea , Hundred-foot Spruce , Thousand-year-old Temple , and Eternal Tiaoxi River . " In front of the temple, a dozen or so towering Cryptomeria trees, each four or five meters in circumference, and a towering Golden Pine on the roadside, each of them over four or five hundred years old.

Today, many innovative buildings have been built around the original cultural relics in the Butuo Temple, such as the Bodhi Bamboo Garden Lay Buddhist Building, the Vegetarian Hall, the Zen Painting and Calligraphy Academy, the Four Seasons Meditation Hall, and the Memorial Room of the Former Site of the New Fourth Army Rest Home in Baizhang Town. These buildings provide excellent accommodation, dining, meditation and other places for pilgrims and tourists who go up the mountain to worship Buddha.
