
The Tang Yun Art Museum is located at the southern end of the east bank of West Lake in Hangzhou, bordered by Changqiao Bridge to the south and Wansong Academy to the east . Its setting is a dazzling backdrop against Leifeng Pagoda. It evokes the charm of a traditional Jiangnan garden. Within the museum, towering fir trees and lush seasonal flowers create a picturesque setting and a rich artistic atmosphere, earning it the nickname " holy land " of paradise .
The art museum consists of three parts: the exhibition hall, the creative exchange room, and the Eight Pots of Essence. The couplet at the entrance to the exhibition hall, "Love painting to the bone, speak poetry with elegance and flirtation," is Mr. Tang Yun's lifelong motto and a reflection of his artistic career. In addition to hosting regular exhibitions of Tang Yun's works and collections, the exhibition hall also hosts various art exchange activities annually.
The art museum houses 195 pieces of Tang Yun's works and collections donated by his family to the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government , including 38 pieces of Tang Yun's works and 106 pieces of calligraphy and painting collected by Tang Yun , including works by Zhu Da, Shi Tao, Hua, Jin Nong, Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, Huang Binhong, Ma Yifu, etc. The museum also houses over 500 pieces of works by famous calligraphers and painters from home and abroad .
