Jinyazhuang Park is located at the intersection of Jiefang Road and Huancheng East Road in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou. This area belongs to Jinyazhuang, which was once known as the top private garden in Hangzhou. It was originally the villa of Jin Xuezeng in Qiantang in the late Ming Dynasty. At that time, the manor covered a large area and was a beautiful place in Hangzhou.
After the Liberation Army, Jinyazhuang Garden was demolished to allow Jiefang Road to extend eastward. All that remains are the site, its name, and four large camphor trees and a ginkgo tree by the " Little Taihu " lake. In 1985 , the Hangzhou Municipal Government rebuilt Jinyazhuang Park on the original site and opened it to the public.
