Located in Hongdoupo Village, Sanfa Township, Datong Township, 2 kilometers north of Tuncheng Town, the Egret Paradise is a natural landscape conserved entirely by the villagers, a vibrant "paradise for egrets." Since the 1960s, egrets have taken up residence in Hongdoupo Village, breeding in their hundreds and thousands. To provide better habitats for the egrets, the villagers have planted numerous fruit trees on the barren slopes surrounding the village, transforming the hills into vibrant greenery and creating a haven for thousands of egrets.
Every spring, flocks of egrets migrate from distant lands to settle here, bringing vitality and liveliness to Hongdoupo Village. These lively and lovely egrets soar and play over the green fields, or alight and chirp in the emerald treetops. From afar, they resemble white blossoms in full bloom. Entering the village, surrounded by lush greenery, the scenery is tranquil, and egrets nestle among the branches. Some playfully sing to each other, others preen their feathers, and some feed their chicks. The scene is serene and moving, a vivid picture of "celestial egrets bringing good luck" and a longevity celebration. It embodies a beautiful scene of harmony between man and nature.
