Introducing Longyan Wolong Mountain

Wolong Mountain is located north of Changting County, Longyan, Fujian Province. A famous scenic spot in Tingzhou since the Song Dynasty, it was once considered the most scenic of the eight scenic spots in Tingzhou. It is named "Wolong" or "Nine Dragons Heavenly Realm" because "flat fields surround it, with a single mountain rising up, detached from the surrounding peaks, resembling a coiled dragon with nine branches." The mountain is covered in lush grass and verdant trees, and boasts scenic spots such as the Beiji Tower, Jinsha Temple, Qiansong Pavilion, Fengxiang Pavilion, and Xinle Pavilion. Jinsha Temple, built in the Song Dynasty, is particularly well-known for its comprehensive representation of the architectural art of temples and monasteries in my country's famous mountain scenic areas.

Mao Zedong once lived near an old well at the foot of Wolong Mountain, ascending it daily for walks. His former residence still stands at the foot of the mountain. Every spring and summer, the mountain blossoms bloom, lush greenery reigns. The ancient, dragon-scale pines here stand tall and straight, creating a refreshing breeze and a gentle rustle of pine waves. A beacon tower, "Dongqiao Shuxiao," stands on the eastern slope of Wolong Mountain.
