Xianzhao Temple, located on the summit of Shiyan Mountain in Xiaoshan, next to Yilan Pavilion, is an ancient temple from the Southern Song Dynasty . First built during the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty , it was named after the idea that " the light of the rising sun shines on this temple first . " Whenever the sun rises, the temple's yellow walls and eaves are the first to be illuminated by its myriad rays of light.
